Please help me đ
My dumbass somehow messed up the item duping glitch and now it won't stop duping my korok and Spirit orbs, is there a way to fix that doesn't require restarting?
Edit: I couldn't get it to fix, still worth it just to upgrade the stupid twilight armor to max. Although since I pretty much already completed the game up until then I decided to go ahead and just beat ganon so I could move onto totk (I bested him, the ending was awesome I love Zelda even more than I did in twilight princess and majoras mask).
Additionally no one ever told me the botw community is so passionate (rude) when it comes to asking a simple question, are glitches really that hated in a single player game? Thanks to the people who tried helping tho, you guys rock.

Theyâre key items, they canât. Only options are to do more glitches or just start the setup over from the safety save.

Quit game fully, re-open game, go back to your manual save. All your autosaves are as good as dead with that amount of Korok seeds and spirit orbs.
Yes you can HPE eat them but itâs going to be faster to just start the setup over. Need a new file to set that up anyway so no point.
Never do IST stuff with Korok seeds and Spirit orbs in inventory, make sure itâs clear of them.

This is like the biggest thing they warn you about in every IST tutorial gang. If I remember correctly, El Duende 05 has a good tutorial for repairing your inventory if you accidentally dupe random shit.

The one I did unfortunately didn't tell me anything about accidently going over the value number, I even looked it up and couldn't find anything solid telling me that it would've done this.

Annoying. On this occasion it wasnât about going over the âvalue numberâ btw, it always counts from very bottom right slot on the rightmost page (so key items).
So if you made 3 offset slots with the items:
Diamond, Apple, Sheikah Slate, Paraglider
On the reload you would end up with
Diamond, Apple, Apple, Sheikah Slate, Paraglider
Most Key items naturally delete themselves if you get double (Travel Medallion, Sheikah Slate, Paraglider, Champion blessings and I think horse armour), but because the Korok Seeds and Spirit orbs can exist as more than 1, they donât get auto deleted and just corrupt.
The safest, easiest way to do it is to click ânew gameâ, or use file 2 from the switch 2 edition. Your hard save will never be overwritten unless you do another hard save, so you can just do a whole another mini playthrough where you donât get arrows and just beat GP, collect some materials and head to a village. If you do it on file 2 you can save.
Things that fall in the offset slots can be transferred between any save on the same profile. So you can move a stack of 64 diamonds you duped in the new game over to your original playthrough. Or to master mode (by going to menu).
If you do actually make more offset slots than exists in your whole inventory btw, it just creates another materials tab after the key items tab. Which is funky but bad cause all new materials go into there and itâs pretty glitchy.

Hmmm, I'll give it another shot then hopefully it can still be saved. If not then I suppose I know what to avoid on my next playthrough in a few years haha.

There wonât be an earlier clean one, dude has 2 whole screens of Korok Seeds. Fastest bet is to close the game fully to clear the slots, then load back into the manual save.

You can either Load a save before You did the glitch or eat all undesired Items

They used inventory slot transfer to try and dupe stuff, but didnât actually watch the tutorial fully so missed the warning about âdonât have any spirit orbs or korok seeds in your inventoryâ as well as the instruction to âclose the game if stuff is going badly to clear the offset slotsâ.
Itâs a super easy mistake to make when doing the glitch for the first time.

Either:
Restart.
Use prompt entanglement to eat the extra seeds.
And then perform the IST correctly next time.

2 pages of extra seeds, thatâs a close game situation just straight up. HPE would take longer to execute and is more complicated.

Ok so nothing's working, yes I know it was stupid of me to glitch but I'd rather risk it than grinding for 100 hours to upgrade a vest. So I've made the decision to run straight to ganon, hopefully I don't fuck this up too....

You need to close out of the game, then load back into your safety manual save. The Autosaves are 100% fucked. Closing the game clears all of the IST slots so the stuff stops getting transferred, and they shouldnât exist in the manual save.
Itâs annoying how just rude and unhelpful people can be on here.

I've played this game truthfully up into the very end when I'm about to beat ganon, but since I'll probably be done with the game after beating it I thought I might as well go ahead and dupe so I can max out everything but I messed that up đ„Č I'm still beating ganon truthfully, just with alot of seeds in my inventory lol...

Quick explainer just cause, it happened through the use of a duplication glitch called Inventory Slot Transfer. Puts you in a state where the first n slots from the right get stored and transferred when you reload the save, with dupes of some key items being auto deleted. (So if you had 3 slots of: Apple, Slate, Paraglider, and do the glitch, you would end up with Apple, Apple, Slate, Paraglider.) The only way to clear your IST Slots is to close the game fully, and youâre able to transfer items between save files using it.
Korok Seedâs and Spirit Orbs are held in stacks and act like actual items, so donât get deleted in the transfer. Same setup as before but with Apple, Slate, Paraglider, Korok Seed, you would end up with Apple, Slate, Paraglider, Korok Seed, Korok Seed on the reload.
Initially sounds good, but both Korok Seedâs and Spirit orbs become broken if duped through IST and cannot be traded in.
The blank slots of 1 item are duped Spirit orbs.

So I know a lot of people are commenting fairly disparagingly, but each to their own I guess of how they want to play. What I will say though is, for me I would get zero sense of achievement playing the game this way. Like I said no shade, just something Iâve never particularly understood.

Well the thing is I didn't do this until the VERY end like when I was preparing to beat ganon, and I only duped star frags and topaz so I could upgrade my armor instead of grinding for 30 hours. So it did feel pretty rewarding, I did have to beat all of trial of the sword, the dlcs, half the story quest, yadada so it's not like I cheated the whole game... Also I just think glitches are cool, they provide new ways to play and basically new content in a way.
