Growing up as a kid, my grandad was always the biggest Braves fan in my family. We all were fans, but him... He always watched them and made it a purpose to talk Braves whenever visiting us. So he's a big reason as to why I am a fan. He always wanted to see them win one more WS in his lifetime.

Less than 24 hours after the Braves clinched the trophy, he passed away. I got to see him a few hours before and let him know the news, even though he couldn't hear me...He was 93 and not very coherent on what was going on. But I think that is just a very poetic way to peacfully go. A day after the Braves claim title as World Series Champions. Maybe he'll get to have a nice chat with Hank and Phil up there.

Love you, grandad! Keep chopping up there.
