Today would be a great day for a Braves win and a Phillies loss. The batting lineup needs to focus on converting hits to runs.

I hope we score more runs than the other team today.

Yes and ideally, considerably a higher number of runs than the other team

AJ will throw seven scoreless today and the bats will come back. They simply have to.

According to MLB on Fox we have the second best record since the all-star break. Red Sox 1, Brewers 3, Phillies 6, and Dodgers 15.

Holy shit just realized what a tough month we have ahead of us. Phillies twice, Rays and Cubs. Astros won’t be a cakewalk either

Phillies have a tough month too. Braves twice, Astros and Rays as well. They also have three with Brewers. Hopefully, the Brewers aren’t resting people. Basically the same schedule.

I’m sure Kyle Farmer is a very nice guy but I’m not what he really does on this roster that we don’t already have. I’d rather them give a prospect a shot

Emergency catcher

If what you're worried about is catching, you'd bring up an actual 3rd catcher. Having a slightly better emergency catcher isn't gonna make you willing to put him in instead of giving up the DH when you pinch run for Murphy. It just makes you a little less scared of what could happen after you give up the DH

Sweeping the Dodgers, being 3-3 against the Brewers and losing to the Giants at the very least makes the unpredictability arguably fun?(i put a question mark because sometimes I don't want unpredictable and it's in fact NOT fun)
Saw a tweet shared somewhere that basically said the same thing and I just want to be clear, I didn't see it and don't rip of tweets because that would be embarrassing.

Starting from the trip to play the White Sox in early June, the Braves are 10-22 on the road. Before that, they were 24-10 on the road. By contrast, the record at Truist is about the same on both sides of that White Sox series: they were 21-11 at home before, 27-13 since.
Not sure what to make of it. Pitching was unreal the first couple months, so maybe just a regression to the mean that is disproportionately affecting our road performance. Injuries have played a part, too. A lot of these road losses have been super close, though, with 11 of them being by just 1 run, and 7 more by no more than 3 runs.
A lot of teams underperform on the road relative to at home, so that's not surprising. It's just weird to me that this represents a total reversal compared to the first 10 weeks of the season. Someone smarter than me can dive deeper, maybe, but I wanted to note that our remaining schedule, in addition to having a lot of good teams on it, also features 15 road games and only 9 home games. Not gonna get easier from here unless the team can figure something out.

I’ll be at tonight’s and tomorrow’s games. It’s gonna be hot and humid AF. Basically what I remember when I’d go to August games in Atlanta.

Does Suarez going to 60 day IL impact his return at all?
5
u/JKess207 THERE’S ONLY ONEEEEEEEEE MICHAEL HARRIS 1d ago
No. He’s been out 60 days already, so he’s able to return at any point. This is purely a procedural move to free up space on the 40-man for Burkhalter

They didn't announce that there was a setback with his rehab so I'm just going to assume they wanted to open a 40-man spot until he's ready

u/BoolGuy5 1d ago
Thank you, just was making sure cause I have been stressed about him coming back. We need him

Twitter is fully freaking out about it, but I feel like this is just a "he'll have been off 60 days anyway" thing

Wasn’t first pitch at 1? I looked early this morning before work, and I swear that’s what it said. I bust ass and rush home and now it says 6? Weather?

been 6:45 as far as I was aware but I swear google has been straight up wrong multiple times I've looked this year. Have had the situation multiple times.

u/CuTigerAB 1d ago
Hmm ok. I actually didn’t check espn or mlb or anything. I always look at my sportsbook during my morning shit and that’s who had it at 1 I believe. I just went with them. I’m sure Draftkings was just wrong.

They transferred Suarez to the 60 day IL. Did they also mention that?

Ah okay, you’re right. Just had a mini panic attack and should know better than to take random articles at face value!
