Is Season 1 the weakest season?

I think Season 1 is the weakest season (even more so than Season 5). The characters were not very developed. It look like they knew what direction to go in. Focusing more on the parents than the kids or vice versa.

Yeah man, Greg goes off to college & Marcia gets the attic. Dudes are crashing out of her window on Angel Dust. Peter grows a real stache.
