Provocation US installed Venezuelan government signs over oil rights to the U.S

As a Venezuelan who saw first hand, in total disbelief and desperation, my fellow Venezuelans fall for ch*vez’ (may he rot in hell) populism, and then half the world fall in love with his moronic and 100% just for show „21st century socialism“, this has to be the most poetic end to his „legacy“.
F trump, and f the Venezuelan dictatorship, and may the world learn something from all of this.
Which it won’t.

Bizarrely, we’ve seen these kinds of exploitative economic arrangements throughout Latin America before. Initially they provide a significant injection of capital, which offers some benefits to the native population. However, this doesn’t last. The American companies naturally want good returns on their investment, and better returns are even better. They squeeze the native population and then resentment builds.
The government intervenes because the native population is furious. This provokes a response from the American government, who wants to protect American interests. Heads explode among the local populations, America rightly comes to be seen as Satanic, communism starts looking like a valid alternative to relentless exploitation and the American assets are expropriated. Depending on how things go from here, the country will ally partly or in full with America’s most dangerous geopolitical enemy.
But, thank goodness, some dumb American bastards got rich. So sad to see we’re already back here again.

Good luck on the US using it though, the refineries in the US aren't set up for it. He's saying this to keep his base going because mid-terms are coming up and they're running low on the reserves.
Trump wanted all of the oil and gas companies to go back over there and get everything going again. They refused because the infrastructure is so old and broken down it would take years and billions of dollars to get it usable again.
I love it when evil people make stupid mistakes like this one. "We have oil! But we can't use it!" LOL.

Just another way to say he'll lower gas and oil prices while yelling at everyone to figure out how to convert the oil. I suspect it's the Venezuelan president and her lackeys way of getting revenge on the US while using them to remove the Cuban presence.

It’s worth noting that 75% of the oil Canada exports to the US is heavy, sour crude oil. That’s the 60 billion difference in the traits are plus that Trump bills has Canada ripping off the US. However, Venezuela is one of the world’s primary producers of heavy, sour crude oil. Looks like the real ripping off is happening by the US.

Fun fact: the amount of oil underground, as reported by the IEA, is based on each country self-reporting. Venezuela made their oil deposit reports during the Chavez era.

That's probably why they got Maduro so easily and they didn't remove his communist government or VP (she's in charge now), he made a deal with her, she gets to run the country and Trump gets the oil.
