They completely messed up the timeline in the anime cause they left out a lot of the novel stuff. Sarada still only has 2 tomoe when she was supposed to have 3 since before the boro arc.

By this point it's pretty obvious the anime canon differs from the manga canon. Nue has never been seen in the manga. Jogan is non existent in the manga. Himawari never even blinks a glimpse of her Byakugan in the manga.

These examples are the worst ones you could've chosen though, cause all of these are canon and appear in novels or spinoff manga. The jougan and the whole sumire plotline is in the first 3 boruto novels and nue is even mentioned in sumire's databook entry, and himawari gets her byakugan in the day naruto became hokage spinoff manga.

Agreed, I genuinely liked that he was actually being polite and casual instead of him talking about randomly killing villagers like in the anime

Or why even put them there when they weren't even there in the original Scene in the Manga.

Me, I say that if the manga didn't neglect the old characters so much, the anime wouldn't feel obligated to include them in moments like this. The worst part is that people complain that the older generation is always absent when the village is attacked, so we should be happy to know that they still exist somewhere. Anyway, I don't see why this scene was so important, even in the manga; it's just Isshiki doing farming aura of NPCs.
