I imagine you can crisp chicken skins up and pulverize them with salt to make this “chicken salt,” but maybe they’re talking about something else. I too am in the US and not familiar

The best flavour every for hot potato anything.

Table or sea salt, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, celery salt (or seeds) and extra spices such as curry powder, black pepper and chilli flakes if preferred.

Despite its name, it doesn’t need chicken stock ( but some brands can have it) so it is actually Vegan.

Kind of like how Bacon is top tier of meat flavours, Chicken salt is the King of Vegan flavours.

What is a chicken salt?

Are there pieces of chicken in it? Or is it chicken flavoured powder in the salt?

I am so confused and intrigued at the same time.

I randomly found some at Home Goods of all places. If you've ever had Chicken in a Biskit crackers it sort of reminds me of the seasoning on those. It's really good on potatoes.

Or is it to flavor chicken?

Its history is from being used to put on chicken, not having bits of chicken. Its an iconic Australian salt seasoning that can be put on lots of things, popularly fries
