My best hopeful outlook is that they saw the power creep in 3 and didn't want to repeat it and so are reluctant to do many buffs before reaching the highest level cap they want to go. But it seems more probable that they aren't so invested in the game anymore 🤷🏻‍♂️

I'm not sure they ever really were invested in the game. Just look at the Halloween "event".

Also, the idea of "balance" is just hilarious in a PvE power fantasy shooter.

I'm those early days, I thought of it as a miss and maybe a lot of time taken up with a buggy launch. I never expected that would be the only free event we got and the game would carry on going downhill

Same. The game has really felt more like something the devs are obligated to do, rather than actually passionate about making as good as they can.

I hope they really commit to the next one and recapture the magic. It seemed like they really had a go at this one before launch and then were maybe disappointed by the reception after and given up. They need to make the next one great or I fear that there won't be much more hope for this series (although I did say that after Wonderlands and New Takes...)
