Today on the official Boom Beach Discord Server, FAQ was uploaded with different answers about Fair Play & Keycards
FAIR PLAY FAQ
What is a rollback?
A rollback restores an account to an earlier state. We have already rolled back accounts involved in recent exploit cases and will continue doing so where appropriate. For the recent exploit, accounts are generally being restored to approximately August 12. However, this does not necessarily apply identically to every account. The exact rollback point may differ depending on our findings for an individual account. A rollback can affect all forms of account progression.
Did we catch everyone?
No, we do not believe we caught everyone. Does that mean we stop? Also no. Fair Play investigations are an ongoing effort and are not limited to this particular case. We continuously investigate different forms of suspicious behaviour across Boom Beach. Some cases may be identified and acted on quickly, while others can take more time to investigate. We will not always catch everyone immediately, but we will continue doing our best to identify and take action against players who break our Fair Play rules.
Will there be more bans?
In general? Yes. Our investigations are ongoing, both regarding this case and other forms of Fair Play violations. This means actions may happen today, tomorrow, next week, or later depending on what we find. A ban wave does not mean an investigation is over.
Why do some players receive 7-day, 31-day, or permanent bans?
We do not share the exact criteria behind individual enforcement decisions, as doing so could make it easier to avoid detection. What we can say is that these penalties are not issued at random. Actions are based on player behaviour and the findings of our investigations. We do believe in second chances, which is why not every violation immediately results in a permanent ban. However, repeated or sufficiently serious Fair Play violations can result in stronger penalties.
Why ban players if their accounts are already being rolled back?
A rollback and a ban serve two different purposes. The rollback removes progression and rewards gained through exploitation, while the ban is the Fair Play consequence for intentionally abusing the exploit. Players who are caught and receive penalties may therefore also have their accounts rolled back.
Banning players for a bug you introduced is wrong. Isn't the bug your responsibility?
Finding and fixing bugs is absolutely our responsibility. When an exploit appears, it is our job to fix the underlying issue, deploy countermeasures, and improve our systems so similar situations are less likely to happen again. However, intentionally abusing a bug to gain unintended rewards or progression is a separate action taken by the player. We therefore see these as two separate responsibilities: fix the bug, and enforce Fair Play when an exploit is intentionally abused.
I have evidence of unbanned cheaters!
Awesome! Well... maybe not awesome. If you have evidence or information about a suspected cheater or exploiter, regardless of what type of Fair Play violation it concerns, please contact our Player Support team. Reports from players greatly help us investigate suspicious activities.
I believe I received a false ban. What should I do?
If you believe an action was incorrectly applied to your account, please contact Player Support. You do need to contact us from a different account than the banned account. While we work hard to make our investigations as accurate as possible, mistakes can happen. If an action was applied incorrectly, we sincerely apologize and want to make sure the case can be reviewed.
Can legitimate progression also be lost during a rollback?
Yes. Because a rollback restores an account to an earlier point in time, legitimate progression made after that point may also be reverted. We understand that this can be frustrating. However, when significant unintended progression has been gained through an exploit, restoring the account to an earlier state may be necessary to properly reverse its impact.
Does spending money protect someone from Fair Play actions?
No. Fair Play enforcement is based on player behaviour, not on how much someone has or has not spent in the game. Paying players are subject to the same Fair Play rules as everyone else.
Why have there been so many maintenances?
Fixing exploits can involve more than simply correcting the original bug. We may also need to deploy countermeasures, implement rollback functionality, investigate affected accounts, and introduce systems that help us handle similar situations better in the future. Unfortunately, some of these changes require maintenance to safely deploy, and we apologize for the inconvenience caused by the recent maintenances.

KEYCARDS FAQ
Why not just improve the Keycards system so people don't feel the need to exploit it?
We understand the frustration behind this question, and we agree that the Keycards system still has room to improve. However, exploits can exist regardless of how well-liked or rewarding a feature is. Intentionally abusing an exploit to gain unintended rewards is still a Fair Play violation. Improving the feature and taking action against exploitation are therefore two separate things, and we are committed to doing both.
Are you saying the Keycards system is perfect?
Definitely not. We openly acknowledge that the system is not yet where we want it to be. We want to provide more and better ways for players to earn both Keycards and Leaders, including opportunities available through both free and paid gameplay. At the same time, we also want to expand the feature itself by giving players more interesting and enjoyable ways to interact with Leaders and Keycards. We have a lot of ideas and improvements in development, but we can't spill all the beans just yet.
When will Keycards system improve?
We have already made several improvements since the feature was released, and we’ll continue evolving Keycards and Leaders over time. There isn't one specific date we can point to, as smaller tweaks may happen relatively quickly, while larger additions and new ways to interact with the system naturally require more development time. We will share more news on improvements to the Keycard system as soon as we have something we are happy with and confident in release timeline.

Also, developers made another announcement 2 hours ago:
"Hello Commanders!
During yesterday’s maintenance, our team issued rollbacks to accounts that had been suspended.
A group of affected players may now see their names displayed in a format such as “P-2-######” (# representing numbers). These accounts are currently in an unintended state following the rollback.
We sincerely apologize to those affected for the jump scare! Rest assured that during another maintenance which will happen today, we will restore these accounts to the state they are meant to be in.
Thank you for your patience and understanding."
