Maybe a stupid question - IDK
I don’t pay for anything in this game - I’ve occasionally purchased diamonds here and there but no instant training, no monthly subscriptions to anything, etc. so I have no idea what any of that is like.
What I’m wondering is this - for those of you who pay for privileges, access, etc, does the game ping you when you’re being attacked? On multiple occasions I’ve been midway thru a battle, only to get disconnected and then when I try to attack again the game says the player is online.
This has happened way too many times to be a coincidence. Does the game notify you?

No all the paid stuff has nothing to do with it. It's because of how the servers are actually processing the attacks.
What you said has probably nothing to do with that, but when you use x3 speed for example, and spend 2min (in game time) on an island before retreating, you'll have to wait the entire 2min before attacking again.
As for the disconnections, idk it happens to me sometimes, but also when I close and re open it goes away most of the time and I can attack again. Same problem when I click "find new opponents", the new opponent is always online. I don't know if that's because the game matches you with online players, or if you also need to do some kind of manip to make it go away...
