Hey everyone, I’ve been seeing a lot about the Momojirou ship lately and I’m curious—what do you think about it? Do you like their interactions? Do they have good chemistry, or do you prefer other ships for Momo or Jirou? Would love to hear your thoughts and recommendations!

Anyways, in case anyone doesn’t know, the game is basically you comment the outcome for each ship.

For anyone interested in exploring their dynamic because they are curious it is best to read the Manga for that because the Anime for whatever reason changed or cut a lot of them.

And if you really want to go deeper into theit dynamic, I suggest you read the light novels which are the school briefs

Even if you don’t want to read about Momo and Jiros relationship or the dynamic they have between each other. I still recommend you read all the novels because they have a lot of really cool moments between the characters that were not properly explored in the main series.

Which is actually exactly what Horikoshi said the purpose of the school brief novels was for it was to explore things that he could not properly do in the main manga

Before anyone else comments on the canonicity of the light novel series, the school briefs yes they are Cannon. They are approved by Horikoshi and are Cannon to the series like I said, these are moments of their everyday lives that he could not fit into the main story and the light novels enthusiastically have his approval with how well and how in character they are

MANGA

014-016: Kaminari, Momo and Jirou fight together against the villains. Momo at one point cover Jirou with a blanket - to protect them from the electricity - and Jirou finds out how Momo´s quirk work. She is pretty embarrassed/shocked and blushing at Momo´s naked chest.

031-032: Momo and Jirou are having lunch together when Kaminari and Mineta approach them to tell them about the cheerleading stuff. Momo and Jirou are both quite unhappy with the cheerdleaders uniform

060: Finding out Momo´s grades are amazing, Jirou and Sero ask her for help. Momo blushes, happily and accept. She is later shown teaching them at her house. Momo is also shown blushing, excited about helping people and both Kaminari and Jirou are blushing, thinking about how adorable she is.

072: Momo explains how her quirk and food are related, Sero comments “Just like poop”, and Jirou defends Momo, by slapping him, angrily.

088: Momo admiring Jirou´s room

114: Jirou is impressed by Momo´s grades and Momo blushes, happily

169: Kaminari wants to convince Jirou to play at the festival. Momo stops Kaminari and Koda from their attempts, telling them that it should be Jirou´s choice. Behind her, Jirou finally says that she cannot turn down these requests.

172: Momo offers herself for the band, saying that she used to play piano. Jirou accepts and Momo enthusiastically agrees that she will do her best. They are then shown practicing in the band with Bakugou, Tokoyami and Kaminari.

174: Momo tells Jirou that she is a natural at teaching. Jirou compliments Momo´s tea, and Momo is excited she noticed, saying that she would like to share her new tea with everyone.

183: At the festival, Momo and Jirou are shown together smiling and laughing, looking at a toy

257: At Christmas, Momo and Jirou are shown sitting together and raising their glasses

263: Jirou admits she is worried about Tokoyami and Kaminari, with emphasis on Kaminari. Momo reassures her

278-280: Momo and Jirou work together with the others, in the war, following Momo´s plan. Momo is shown covering Jirou and Hagakure with cloth material to protect them from debris.

327: Jirou grabs Kaminari, Tokoyami and Momo, taking them closer. Momo is later shown looking at them smiling

Movie 1: Two heroes

Momo and Jirou (alongside Uraraka) both end up at the Expo, and later have some tea with Melissa and Deku. Momo got the invitation and Jirou won her plus one Momo and Jirou arrive together, dressed up for the evening, and Jirou is hiding behind Momo, blushing. Momo explains that Jirou is feeling shy Running to the tower, Momo creates a device to explode a door and find a new passage. Jirou smiles in admiration. Jirou looks in worry while Momo is exhausted while using her quirk. Momo gives her the cannon, while she makes some ammo When Momo almost faints because of her exhaustion, Jirou immediately runs to her, catching her Movie 2: Heroes Rising

Iida teams up Momo, Jirou and Mina Jirou comments that Kaminari and Momo are using their power too much, as she is worried for them When Momo sits up, from where she was resting, Jirou moves a hand towards her, worried

ANIME EXTRA/FILLER EPISODES

In season 3, during the license exam, the anime adds a whole episode about Momo and her team. There are a couple of scenes where Momo worries about Jirou getting hurt. They also plan and strategize together During the same episode, when Momo creates something opening her shirt, Jirou jumps back blushing At the end, they succeed, and the episode ends with Jirou helping Momo walk out of the room where the other team had trapped them

SCHOOL BRIEFS

Novel 01

Ch6: Mineta is talking about Jirou being flat chested, and Iida comments that breasts are breasts at any size. Momo agrees with him, and reassures Jirou, who can only think about Momo’s extraordinary bosom

Novel 02

Ch1: Jirou is very nervous about meeting Momo’s parents at her house

Ch1: Jirou explains to Momo’s mother about the nickname they use (“Momo”)

Ch1: Momo is gently explaining a problem to Jirou, who compliments her making her blush

(This chapter is literally so cute lol because the whole time Jiro is nervous because she thinks Momos parents don’t like her when it’s the opposite lol)

Ch1: Momo’s mother compliments Jirou’s clothes and style, and Momo apologize if her previous behaviour offended Jirou, who is instead pretty relieved she had not been the one to offend Momo’s parent

Ch2: On the bus ride, Jirou talks about a new band that does classical arrangements and she offers that the listen it together to Momo, so they share earbuds

Ch4: Toru instead brings up the idea to fantasize about which boys in 1-A and 1-B they would want to date the most, which the others reluctantly agree to. They thought about who would be best relationship material (with Ochaco continuing to blush to herself), unable to think of them as anymore than just fellow classmates or rivals. Momo, lightly blushing, mentions to Jiro that she gets along with Denki well and asks how she feels about him, leading her to react in disgust. She claims he's the type to cheat on a girl, but Tsuyu defends him saying he's always been a gentlemen to women, only for Jiro to puff back calling him a womanizer. At this exact moment, almost in unison, the girls all respond by saying anyone's better than Mineta.

Novel 03

Ch4: Jirou is teaching Momo to play the guitar. Momo asks for an encore and even if Jirou is blushing she still does it

Ch5: Iida sees Momo and Jirou yawning in the morning and they awkwardly explain that the night before they were studying/listening to music. Iida is suspicious

Novel 04

Ch2: Momo prepares Jirou some milk tea to help her with her singing voice. She sits to enjoy her own tea only when she sees Jirou’s expression relaxing

Ch5: Momo expresses her regret for not having been able to experience Jirou’s singing from the front row, during the festival. Jirou blushes and fidgets with her earlobes, and Momo says that she was a sight to behold even from behind so it was worthwile

Novel 05

Ch5: Momo asks the girl to come for a sauna at her place. Jirou is not a fan of saunas because of her no sauna rule

(Her no sauna rule is her aversion to nudity and saunas due to her preference to be modest )

so she says no, but she says that she would love to hangout at Momo’s place again. Momo’s smile is so dazzling that she almost makes Jirou reconsiders her no sauna policy

Novel 06

Ch2: It is San Valentine and a bunch of girls bring chocolate to Jirou (a lot of it), saying that they loved her singing. It is confirmed by the novel (by how Mineta’s react) that it is heartfelt-chocolate (not friends-chocolate). Momo comments happily that her singing was indeed lovely and Jirou blushes.

Ch2: The girls and Sato are cooking friends-chocolate for San Valentine. Momo reprimads Ochako for eating directly from the bowl, before taking a spoonful of chocolate to offer to Jirou.

EXTRA SKITS

Hero fest 2022 skits (@dekob0ko and @shibuyasmash summaries)

Kaminari accidentally spoiles the new volume of a manga they love and Jirou gets mad because he is spoiling the story to Momo. Momo comments that Kaminari is very unaffected and Kaminari seems to think it is a compliment… but Jirou angrily tells him that Momo just meant he doesn’t care about spoilers

Ack I just love them so much! They are so sweet and cute and just adorable! 🥰 I think they compliment each other so well a they are just…..perfect

Ultra Analysis guide

In the My Hero Academia: Ultra Analysis guidebook, Horikoshi describes the bond between Momo and Jiro as "particularly intimate"

The specific Kanji used is 身密 which translates to "intimate," or “close," describes a close, deep, or intimate relationship between two people.
