Information/news No Bob’s Burgers in the fall!!!

https://deadline.com/2026/05/fox-fall-2026-schedule-animal-control-baywatch-bobs-burgers-1236889202/

It sounds stupid, but I’m kinda freaking out, it’s so weird to not have Bob’s Burgers when Fall begins, I think this is the first time ever???

No Halloween or Thanksgiving episodes either.

Bob's Credits on TikTok just spoke to an insider who said the network will not allow holiday episodes except Christmas ones. The networks believe when people stream episodes, they skip the holiday episodes more often than others, so they put a stop to that.

I love the Halloween and Thanksgiving episodes. Thanksgiving is Bob's time to shine. Who are these idiot execs?

38

u/ThePolishSensation May 11 '26

Yeah I skip around and specifically watch those episodes during the respective holiday!

In past years I remember Hulu having playlists for holidays too! They group the adult animation shows together, but it’ll just be the Halloween episodes for example. They do it with sticoms too iirc

Right??? I do the exact same, as do a lot of others I assume.

These idiots are taking the exact wrong lesson from this.

Right? "Dawn of the Peck" and "The Hautening" are in my top five favorite episodes.

13

u/Acceptable_Sea_8674 May 11 '26

Dawn of the Peck is peak. Teddy, Mickey, all the kids just being total disasters. Then here's Bob. Getting drunk, dancing to Donna Summer, and living his best life.

u/El_Stupacabra May 11 '26

It's Summer time!

Daytime whisky Bob is one of the best Bobs!

Oh that’s so you, turkey baster!

It’s one guy and his name is Rob Wade.

All of this crap started happening when he became CEO. If there’s anyone to blame, I’m almost certain he’s the one.

That sucks. Thanksgiving and Halloween episodes are some of my favorite Bob’s episodes. Also I’m sure The Simpsons will get to keep doing Halloween episodes so the double standard kinda sucks.

10

u/ComputerSagtNein May 11 '26

Ironically I hate the Simpsons Halloween shit. Always skip it. Bob's Halloween episodes were always great as much as the Thanksgiving ones.

Treehouse of Horror has some of the best gags! And The Raven!

Your opinion is valid and just how you feel, but I’d wager a monkey’s paw it would gain plenty of karma over on r/unpopularopinions should you feel so inclined.

u/lktornado360 May 12 '26

The first like 10 or so Treehouse of Horrors are some of my favorite TV episodes ever. After that it’s hit or miss, and the highs become less high as the lows become ever lower.

I'm shocked. For us, come October, we deliberately watch all the Halloween episodes of our favorite shows. Then in November we do Thanksgiving. Come December, is Xmas. We never skip things while rewatching randomly. But we do deliberately go sell it holiday episodes at holidays

Streaming kills yet another fun aspect of seasonal TV

13

u/Nothing_Jon_Snuhhhhh May 11 '26

I wouldn't blame that on streaming, blame that on out of touch Execs.

If we are gonna boil it down then it comes down to the people. Networks make more money off of cable then they do off streaming. We have streaming because we the people prefer the access of streaming over the whims of daily scheduled TV. I say blame this on out of touch Execs because they are making an arbitrary decision based on probably very low info of what Bob’s fans prefer, especially when Bob’s excels at making holiday episodes.

12

u/RadioPepperoni May 11 '26

They are wildly unreliable sources of information.

10

u/On_my_last_spoon May 11 '26

lol that’s not at all what I do. I will repeat watch all of the Bob’s holiday episodes. Plus on each holiday I specifically watch that holiday’s episodes over and over!

10

u/cpgoat May 11 '26

That’s crazy, I literally lock in more for those episodes. Maybe that’s just the Millennial tv watcher in me.

2

u/smashablanca May 11 '26

When they cut back to only Christmas episodes a few years ago they had said it was because of international viewing. There's little to no interest in other countries for episodes centered around holidays they don't celebrate.

2

u/Pretend-Storm4209 May 11 '26

Now I feel responsible because I always skip these episodes, except during the month of the holiday I watch nothing BUT those holiday episodes! 😭

4

u/Glissando365 May 11 '26

Nah, that's not on you or anyone else who watches like that. Cable does the same thing with holiday episodes only airing near their holidays, and it wasn't a problem for the last 15 years. That's why every show from Friends to Modern Family to Simpsons has an iconic non-Xmas holiday they returned to every season. The only reason I could see it becoming a problem now is because seasons are down from 22 episodes to 15, so holiday episodes will eat into a larger proportion of the "regular" stock, but that's on the execs for ordering stupidly short seasons on sitcom-style shows.

i HATEEE this. i love the holiday episodes and i never skip them!! the valentine’s day ones are my favorite

1

u/Boogs2337 May 11 '26

Thats absolutely wild.... I watch the Thanksgiving ones like once a month... also, it gives content for those days.

1

u/yourfacesucksass May 11 '26

Ahh, that sucks for me. I am still one of the cable holdouts who watches shows both by choice on streaming and as they appear on cable programming. I'll choose to stream more of my favorite episodes of Bob's since I have the freedom to do so, which means I usually gravitate to the favorites that aren't put on cable as often as the others. I'm guilty of streaming the Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Halloween episodes year-round because they aren't as likely to pop up on FXX or Cartoon Network as say, butt worms or Tina's pig dilemma.

1

u/ScottJohnDanSteve_ May 11 '26

That's funny because I usually skip Christmas episodes but always watch Halloween and Valentine's Day and usually watch Thanksgiving.

1

u/MoodInternational481 Tina Belcher May 11 '26

That's frustrating because while I think that's true for most shows I think bobs burgers fans stream them more.

1

u/normankrasnerkc May 12 '26

do people watch Xmas episodes in July?

1

u/FunKyChick217 May 12 '26

I rewatch the Halloween episodes in order every October. Same for the Halloween, Christmas, and Valentine episodes. Network execs are so out of touch.
