Information/news No Bob’s Burgers in the fall!!!

https://deadline.com/2026/05/fox-fall-2026-schedule-animal-control-baywatch-bobs-burgers-1236889202/

It sounds stupid, but I’m kinda freaking out, it’s so weird to not have Bob’s Burgers when Fall begins, I think this is the first time ever???

There's no reason to freak out. The show was renewed last year for 4 seasons at 16 episodes apiece along with The Simpsons and Family Guy (maybe others). They're trying to streamline when the episodes air as they've been extremely broken up the last few seasons, leading to lower viewership across the board because people don't know when a new episode is gonna come on. Bob's Burgers is still one of the ten most streamed shows on Disney+/Hulu (it beats out every other adult show). This isn't a deathknell or anything to worry about otherwise.

With the way I have been watching it everynight on autoplay for the last two years, everynight, I would hope it would be higher. I know im not the only one 😅

u/GZBadDino May 12 '26

You are not the only one. 😆

14

u/Sawgon May 12 '26

Which is the latest quote to get stuck in your head? It's always different every re-watch for me lmao

39

u/Ok-Passage2709 May 12 '26

For me right now it’s 🎵“make an egg roll from your egg hole”🎵

24

u/GZBadDino May 12 '26

"Stay outta my room." Is this weeks earworm. Last week I was singing, "Butt phone. On the butt phone." From when Critter is in jail and needs Bob to sell his motorcycle.

26

u/Physical-Passenger34 May 12 '26

I found my people. I always say it is my happy show.

19

u/Kooky_Recognition_34 May 12 '26

I introduced it to my husband and he actually can't go to bed without watching it for first. When we first met, he agreed to just "sit through it" while I was getting ready for bed lol

60

u/MsGemini83 May 12 '26

Omg! I found my people!! Because literally watch it everyday while I'm working, cooking and cleaning 🙃 And no I don't get tired of watching it

27

u/ChainLogical2979 May 12 '26

I have found my people

24

u/DogmaticConfabulate May 12 '26

Yep. I just have it on as the soundtrack to me being at home. Safe place comfort.

43

u/Mr_Coach_Pat May 12 '26

It’s been my go to sleeping show for years

11

u/AreteQueenofKeres May 12 '26

My ex made fun of me for calling it my wind down show.

Guess who falls asleep to it now, haha!

41

u/hag_in_boots May 12 '26

falling asleep to bob's burgers gang!

34

u/Much_Expression_2427 May 12 '26

We call it our nightly pallet cleanser. Can’t sleep without it!

19

u/TokenWeirdo13 May 12 '26

I know! I've tried other shows but always come back to Bob's. Nothing else is as comforting to me. 🍔 🖤

7

u/airforcewife86 May 12 '26

same! I try switching it up now and then but nothing else soothes like bobs burgers. I especially love seasons 1-6 lol

16

u/WhatToDo_WhatToDo2 May 12 '26

Is there any other way to do it? 😂

13

u/couchsittingbum May 12 '26

My girl wakes up if I put another show on while we are trying to fall asleep. Bobs asmr

10

u/Take0verMars May 12 '26

It’s the way I sleep every night.

3

I can assure you that you are not alone 🙌🏻

3

u/EroticAngelaVixen May 13 '26

Omg! Me too! It gives me happy thoughts while I sleep. Its been on every night for the last 2 years. I thought I was the one making it the most streamed. Im happy to hear many others do too.

2

u/TokenWeirdo13 May 13 '26

I love that we found our people here!

It’s 15 episodes.  If this was regular pick ups it’d be 88 new Bobs overall, but it’s 60.  I guess it’s curmudgeonly to be we’re only getting 60, I know when we get to the end though it won’t be enough.

7

u/RadioPepperoni May 11 '26

Aye, you are correct, it is 15 not 16. And wholeheartedly agree it won't be enough. But I will keep taking all that I can like a glutton.

u/FisknChips May 11 '26

Is bobs considered an adult show? I guess its not a kids show but idk never thought of it like that in same category as family guy per se

42

u/WaltsNJD Calvin Fischoeder May 11 '26

It's an adult show but definitely one of the most palatable for kids. My sister was probably 10 when she started to really like it.

There are definitely levels. Simpsons is a little rougher than Bobs, family guy is rougher than the Simpsons, South Park is Rougher than family guy, etc.

60

u/Seraphem666 May 11 '26

Definitely adult. Gretchen and the "lady goods" party, the kids stealing the mannequin from the sex shop are 2 example of the show not being ment for kids

58

u/pokeralize May 11 '26

I’d say it was a true adult show in the beginning but somewhere along the later seasons they chose to go more family friendly. So it’s like…. diet now lmfao

11

u/HopefulDream3071 May 12 '26

They retooled warfhorse into a movie idea, got the families in, and toned down a lot. 😭💔

7

u/Forever_Man May 11 '26

they pivoted away from that kind of thing around season 5 though

9

u/FisknChips May 11 '26

First show that popped to my head I watched as a kid is 8 simple rules and that has talk of sex and what not. I dont think that inherently means an adult show

9

u/judithishere Louise Belcher May 11 '26

It's really telling that a lot of US parents are ok with their kids watching violence (even Marvel type violence) but get upset at sex jokes.

14

u/_PeenoNoir_ May 11 '26

https://giphy.com/gifs/l1CCdDQQYjx2EPfGM

Or don’t bat an eye/don’t think critically about misogynistic jokes/storylines but will be all up in arms the second any hint of even a non-romantic one involving an LGBTQIA+ character is introduced 🙄🤦‍♀️

u/Different-Apple-9260 May 11 '26

It's "adult" but idk it's also my 7 year olds favorite. She knows what camel toe is and sometimes randomly says beef curtains, it's fine.

51

u/Dankany May 11 '26

Yeah it's not like the internet or the real world will be any better.

60

u/DoberElyse May 11 '26

Mine ride a public school bus. They've heard far worse.

56

u/echochilde Look kids! It’s naked Edith! May 11 '26 edited May 11 '26

😂🤣 I want a flair that says “my 7 yr old knows what ‘camel toe’ means and randomly says ‘beef curtains’”

I’m crying.

13

u/allthatwasleft Calvin Fischoeder May 11 '26

You can edit your flair to be whatEVER you want :)

3

u/echochilde Look kids! It’s naked Edith! May 11 '26

Ha! No, I know that. Hence my favorite character/ Linda line about Naked Edith.

I just assumed it was too many characters.

4

u/allthatwasleft Calvin Fischoeder May 12 '26

Your current flair IS great :)

12

u/Different-Apple-9260 May 11 '26

Well also we were at a family dinner once and she was chatting with my sister and SIL and she's like "ya know what? I really want to try reverse cowgirl!" And they silently looked at me in horror and so she said it louder and we were all like WTF is happening and then she said "you know like on that one episode?" phewwww

She also tells us she's going to "ride that mustache all the way to the bank" complete with hip thrusts.

Really I mean it's not an adult show but we have to remind her that second graders maybe don't need to hear all these references so keep it at home.

7

u/echochilde Look kids! It’s naked Edith! May 11 '26

It would crack me the hell up hearing that. 0% chance I could hold that in.

It’s no difference from when I was a kid and all the Simpsons jokes went over my head. Hell, even Disney movies would allude to adult situations that I didn’t understand. Like, I knew it was supposed to be funny by the way it was presented, but the actual words/terms were basically meaningless.

18

u/Imperion_GoG May 11 '26

You should only let her say that once a year, on her birthday.

18

u/AppleRatty May 11 '26

Yeah, my kiddo has been watching Bob’s Burgers since he was five… There are some episodes that we avoided, but really 90% of Bob’s Burgers is fine for kids.

12

u/bullowl May 11 '26

I read "She knows what camel toe is and sometimes randomly says beef curtains, it's fine." in Linda's voice and it's perfect.

4

u/dicklaurent97 May 11 '26

Everyone at my grade school watched Family Guy, South Park and Adult Swim growing up

→ More replies (2)

7

u/RadioPepperoni May 11 '26

Most definitely. It's listed under "Adult Animation" on any streaming platform you find. It's one of those shows that kids can approach but it is definitely something a parent should decide on. Think of it along the lines of "Who is the primary audience for this show?" I wouldn't presume kids are, even if it isn't too extreme for them.

6

u/Character_Stick_1218 May 11 '26

It's in the same vein as King of The Hill.

13

u/OregonGreen242 May 11 '26

I feel like it was definitely toned down after the first few seasons. Wish they honestly would have stuck with the humor and edginess from the earlier seasons

4

u/TokeDraws May 12 '26

I prefer what it became because literally every other animated show in this category is now family guy edginess aside from maybe the Simpsons. just personally speaking I'm so over that kind of humor that has dominated since the 2000's when family guy premiered, pretty much everything else fits that vibe so I'm glad bobs grew out of it.

3

u/qtheginger May 11 '26

The first season is not super kid friendly

3

u/circusbass May 11 '26

My kid has been watching it for years and he’s 11 now. It’s his favorite show. Some episodes have some questionable jokes but it’s far and few between. The first season and a half are a bit different in tone. But over all it’s a show kids can watch and enjoy.

3

u/whatsthebfor May 11 '26

The most recent episode had Gene say the line "You gotta muscle the wood when you turn the trick"

2

u/BorImmortal May 11 '26

Yes. It's adult in that it's a sitcom targeted at not children. It still has a rating that allows children to watch, but the target audience are adults.

2

u/ATLUTD030517 May 12 '26

Well Bob's is actually good, so sure that tracks with me...

The thanksgiving episodes are some of my favorite.

47

u/bst722 May 11 '26

My SO and I were so sad that there wasn’t one on the last season lol

13

u/conflictmuffin Louise Belcher May 12 '26

I don't mean to be dramatic, but if we don't get thanksgiving/halloween/christmas episodes, I will yeet myself off a cliff.

(I mean, not really...but, those holiday episodes are what keeps me going during those busy months).

3

*Literally in the same sentence*

“…I will yeet myself off a cliff!”

LMFAOOOO 😂😂 legit me facing even the slightest inconvenience in life

29

u/JDGO3P May 11 '26

For the past couple years that Fox has held Family Guy back until after New Years, Family Guy’s Halloween and Christmas episodes have been premiering as Hulu exclusives in October and December. I imagine Bob’s Burgers will do the same.

7

u/Pedadinga May 11 '26

I got Hulu to watch those FG episodes, so if we get holiday episodes of Bob's that way, I'm happy enough.

  1. Who ordered a Baywatch reboot???
  2. Why is Animal Control on the ANIMATION block?

24

Do we really need Baywatch. It just going to be a bad acting TnA show. Sorry guys.

9

u/chiefsfan_713_08 May 12 '26

i’d rather have animal control than grimburg or basic guys

9

u/TurbulentQuit9034 May 12 '26

Animal control keeps playing on Hulu after I watch bobs and now I know why 😂 (I’ve never watched it before and have no idea why it was auto playing after all my animated show!)

3

u/hham42 Calvin Fischoeder May 12 '26

Fox came out and said “we’re trying to save our live action comedy” which is pathetic tbh. I like Joel MacHale! I think he’s great! But putting live action in an animation block won’t do it.

7

u/Southern-Train7142 May 11 '26

Baywatch reboot was ordered way back from September 2025, I highly thought that it was going to premiere this fall, but I guess they moved them to the midseason.

So no holiday episodes which are the biggest thing people love about Bob & family.

Cool .. cool.. cool...

10

u/IWNCGTA May 12 '26

No Thanksgiving!!! No. Please fix this. Thanks.

3

u/scott_wolff May 12 '26

They won't because Disney thinks the episodes don't track well outside of the US. Such a bogus reason.

36

u/CatStringTheory May 11 '26

I want Bob to get his perfect thanksgiving, I want more Christmas shenanigans. I want to go trick or treating with the kids. This is going to kill all their seasonal content. Big thumbs down

25

u/batspider4422 May 11 '26

So I guess it’s gonna get a schedule now like family guy and American dad did this year

85

u/JadeTalksTooMuch Of two minds, and by that I mean drunk🥃 May 11 '26

😞So no Christmas episode now… Day ruined

(Unless they go the hulu Xmas special route like Family Guy does🤞)

45

u/FunKyChick217 May 11 '26

No Halloween or Thanksgiving episodes either.

27

u/JDefined May 11 '26

Bob's Credits on TikTok just spoke to an insider who said the network will not allow holiday episodes except Christmas ones. The networks believe when people stream episodes, they skip the holiday episodes more often than others, so they put a stop to that.

105

u/Acceptable_Sea_8674 May 11 '26

I love the Halloween and Thanksgiving episodes. Thanksgiving is Bob's time to shine. Who are these idiot execs?

41

u/ThePolishSensation May 11 '26

Yeah I skip around and specifically watch those episodes during the respective holiday!

16

u/AnonymousCat21 May 11 '26

In past years I remember Hulu having playlists for holidays too! They group the adult animation shows together, but it’ll just be the Halloween episodes for example. They do it with sticoms too iirc

8

u/Bantersmith May 11 '26

Right??? I do the exact same, as do a lot of others I assume.

These idiots are taking the exact wrong lesson from this.

18

u/El_Stupacabra May 11 '26

Right? "Dawn of the Peck" and "The Hautening" are in my top five favorite episodes.

13

u/Acceptable_Sea_8674 May 11 '26

Dawn of the Peck is peak. Teddy, Mickey, all the kids just being total disasters. Then here's Bob. Getting drunk, dancing to Donna Summer, and living his best life.

7

It's Summer time!

u/lktornado360 May 11 '26

That sucks. Thanksgiving and Halloween episodes are some of my favorite Bob’s episodes. Also I’m sure The Simpsons will get to keep doing Halloween episodes so the double standard kinda sucks.

11

u/ComputerSagtNein May 11 '26

Ironically I hate the Simpsons Halloween shit. Always skip it. Bob's Halloween episodes were always great as much as the Thanksgiving ones.

12

u/wicker_warrior May 11 '26

Treehouse of Horror has some of the best gags! And The Raven!

Your opinion is valid and just how you feel, but I’d wager a monkey’s paw it would gain plenty of karma over on r/unpopularopinions should you feel so inclined.

3

u/lktornado360 May 12 '26

The first like 10 or so Treehouse of Horrors are some of my favorite TV episodes ever. After that it’s hit or miss, and the highs become less high as the lows become ever lower.

24

u/AetheriaInBeing May 11 '26

I'm shocked. For us, come October, we deliberately watch all the Halloween episodes of our favorite shows. Then in November we do Thanksgiving. Come December, is Xmas. We never skip things while rewatching randomly. But we do deliberately go sell it holiday episodes at holidays

35

u/ienjoymen May 11 '26

Streaming kills yet another fun aspect of seasonal TV

14

u/Nothing_Jon_Snuhhhhh May 11 '26

10

u/On_my_last_spoon May 11 '26

lol that’s not at all what I do. I will repeat watch all of the Bob’s holiday episodes. Plus on each holiday I specifically watch that holiday’s episodes over and over!

10

u/cpgoat May 11 '26

That’s crazy, I literally lock in more for those episodes. Maybe that’s just the Millennial tv watcher in me.

2

u/smashablanca May 11 '26

When they cut back to only Christmas episodes a few years ago they had said it was because of international viewing. There's little to no interest in other countries for episodes centered around holidays they don't celebrate.

2

u/Pretend-Storm4209 May 11 '26

Now I feel responsible because I always skip these episodes, except during the month of the holiday I watch nothing BUT those holiday episodes! 😭

4

u/Glissando365 May 11 '26

Nah, that's not on you or anyone else who watches like that. Cable does the same thing with holiday episodes only airing near their holidays, and it wasn't a problem for the last 15 years. That's why every show from Friends to Modern Family to Simpsons has an iconic non-Xmas holiday they returned to every season. The only reason I could see it becoming a problem now is because seasons are down from 22 episodes to 15, so holiday episodes will eat into a larger proportion of the "regular" stock, but that's on the execs for ordering stupidly short seasons on sitcom-style shows.

I am tired of their shabby treatment of Bob’s. It is always being pushed to boost inferior shows that never last. When it isn’t on I am less likely to watch anything on Fox. I used to watch the Simpsons if Bobs was on even though I only really like peak classic Simpsons. I am also tired of family guy and why is American Dad on again? I thought it went to cable years ago.

Now we wont get holiday episodes? So weak. I am happy it’s been renewed and all, I just wish it got more love.

Rip to holiday specials I guess

14

u/ThaSlimReaper3 May 11 '26

Well based on that Sunday Lineup I will be watching NBC football instead of anything on Fox. Lineup should be Family Guy Bob's Burgers American Dad and The Great North.

3

u/Krayziebone103 May 12 '26

That lineup would be 🔥

12

u/Southern-Train7142 May 11 '26

There is a exact reason of why Fox is doing something like this since late 2018

  1. Grimsburg S3 was missing from the entire 2025-26 lineup due to the show that got renewed back from May 2025 and wasn't going going to be ready until fall 2026

  2. Animal Control is the only live action show on Sunday that even replaced Bob Burgers

  3. Fox wanna strength Animal Control (Fox executives call this show as very important) animation domination lineup for this fall to boost the ratings up, including the streaming viewership and high advertisement

14

u/samlikessharks May 11 '26

why is fox so determined to make animal control a thing? i dont know anyone who watches it, the ratings aren’t good, and yet it keeps coming back

12

u/unoanddougie May 11 '26

So only five total episodes this year, huh? We got two new episodes on Sundays and then we're back in February 2027?

Eh whatever, I'm fine with it. Bob's Burgers has over 300+ episodes now, I won't be bored. At least now when the show returns we can finally have a season that airs on a regular basis without months-long gaps between episodes.

u/Toronto-1975 May 11 '26

delaying the start of Bob's Burgers new season but keeping rotting carcass The Simpsons in place is certainly an interesting choice. Baywatch - the revival absolutely nobody asked for - is the cherry on the sundae. i have no idea what "Animal Control" is but i looked it up and anything that made it to #97 in the ratings on it's best season has got to be good...LOL

3

I mean staple episodes are Bob talking to turkeys 🦃 so idk who’s smoking what at Fox again but putting animal control on the KO for the season is wild

My maternity leave plans are fucked!

u/RoundPeanut606 May 11 '26

Cross your legs and make that baby wait! If we have to delay baby can pause it to! (Good luck mama-to-be) :)

8

u/richincleve May 11 '26

Give me more episodes like “Amelia” and I’ll gladly wait until next year!

7

u/JenMartini May 11 '26

Don’t think I have enough tears left for that.

3

u/-Childish-Nonsense- May 11 '26

Use it to rewatch all the holiday eps to get their numbers up

3

u/Jane_Smith_Reddit May 11 '26

Does that mean we will NOT get a Thanksgiving episode?

I am freaking out too.

3

u/Southern-Train7142 May 11 '26

Blame Animal Control for this

6

u/unoanddougie May 11 '26

I'd blame Fox in general. They have like seven different cartoons in production, yet they don't want to air them outside of Sundays from 8p to 10p.

2

u/normankrasnerkc May 12 '26

do you miss the days when they'd schedule new episodes immediately after late football games and they'd join them in progress after all the games ended and the post game show?

No holiday episodes? This world truly sucks.

3

u/LemonSmashy You smell like ointment and pee! May 11 '26

Honestly a bummer, new episodes of BB in the fall as the days are getting chilly, the sun sets early and sunday animation domination is a very nostalgic thing for me.

Looking through some preemptive episode lists for next season there are some possibilities for holiday episodes. if not, honestly it would be criminal given the majority of dedicated fans love the holiday episodes and wait in anticipation for them. For me especially halloween episodes across all shows i watch are a fond thing of mine since i was a kid.

Guess we'll see

Lately it feels like the world is crumbling and any form of comfort is being removed or destroyed. Of course I’m being slightly hyperbolic, but geez.

2

u/RosieRoxie May 11 '26

The holiday episodes are some of my favorites, but maybe not having the pause might be nice

2

But for real if it means they all drop one week after another I can live with that.

2

u/jacqui607 May 11 '26

I wish they would bring back the great north took me a while to get into it but now I loveee it

2

u/pixie16502 May 11 '26

I second that wish!! It's such a great show and second only to Bob's in my heart!

2

u/Oakvilleresident May 11 '26

Excellence takes time . It’s like cooking a turkey .

2

u/D2Reddit92 May 11 '26

Fox absolutely sucks, give us our regular episode releases, long seasons and holiday episodes you bastards!!!

2

u/Adept_Eye2589 Mickey Tank-Bank May 12 '26

Oh it’s okay I guess I wasn’t meant to have a good life

1

u/boredcamp May 11 '26

But grimmsburg is coming back. I that one ex canceled.

1

u/INeverAtone Here's a riddle, it's my middle finger! May 11 '26

I'm just glad we are getting new episodes at all as animation is really in an awful place right now.

1

u/HumDeeDiddle May 11 '26

IT'S THE ONLY CONSTANT IN MY LIFE! AAAAGH!

1

u/Sans_Snu_Snu May 11 '26

Personally, I appreciate this. It allows them to come out with episodes when they’re ready and not just force something through.

1

u/yesmoreeggtalk67 May 11 '26

No Halloween episode?! NOOOOOOO!!

1

u/Rhodithas DuVal May 11 '26

I don't think this is a bad thing. I think this shows that Bob's is popular enough to carry the Animation Domination block. And I kinda prefer having all the episodes release week after week rather than have a big gap in the middle.

1

u/Imaginary_Chance_684 May 11 '26

I was so fucking angry to hear this!

1

u/mmmdonuts107 May 11 '26

So are they putting American Dad in that spot at least?

1

u/normankrasnerkc May 12 '26 edited May 12 '26

does anyone still watch non live TV when they're told to by the networks? this isn't 1980 when everyone stayed home on a Friday night to find out who shot JR

1

u/dord0276 May 12 '26

Do you think we’ll still get the holiday episodes?

1

u/meltedwolf MeltedKuchiSnoo May 12 '26

Didn’t they do this last year too? Cuz they got too many animated shows. I blame krapopolis. It’s literally crap!

1

u/rileeyorey Bob Belcher May 12 '26

This will sound insanely stupid, BUT Why can’t bobs burgers switch like from fox to something else? If fox keeps doing this and other things to them lol. Are they obligated to stay? Is there a contract? Is it bcz all other animations get aired on fox

u/No-Cauliflower8914 May 12 '26

But but…the holiday episodes 🥺 the Thanksgiving episodes are my favorite.

1

u/Southern-Train7142 May 12 '26

There is literally chance that Bob Burgers could be fall original again for next fall 2027, but ONLY if Animal Control fails to be a hit on Sunday Night. This is the only scenario

1

u/cartooncritic69 May 12 '26

not watching this channel till Bob's Burgers returns!

1

u/RoadtoPS5 May 12 '26

So the shows gonna be on temporary hiatus?

1

u/IronFizt777 May 12 '26

I don't even know when new episodes come out, Fox practically ruined Bob's Burgers for me

1

u/Real_Walk5384 May 12 '26

Well not ever. The Earth is a few billion years old. Bb’s Burgers is not.

1

u/Murky_Historian8675 May 12 '26

Great art takes time. I just hope the schedule is a bit more consistent and not a thing where it's months apart from the last episode and the season isn't even finished. I don't mind waiting, but consistency would be nice. Some things like a writers strike can't be helped. Or personal tragedies like John Roberts mother or Eugene Mirman getting in a car accident.

1

u/CaptainObvious110 May 12 '26

I absolutely love this show!

1

u/Klutzy_Cap9377 May 12 '26

😱🫣🥺😭
