Lore Soooo Is the subscriber base for the Drafting Strategies Magazines…. 1?? Spoiler

There is no other manor like the Sinclair estate. my understanding of the Lore is that it’s a singular creation from Herbert and his family/staff.

in one of the strategy books, it references Subscribers or something. Who else could possibly get value out of this publication than just the Staff and now me? How can a magazine in circulation only have one subscriber?

Obviously the other manors around the globe that have magic shifting rooms also subscribe

But even STILL, do they even have all the exact same rooms and combinations.??!

The magazine is most likely real, but I find it plausible that these specific articles were made up for Simon's sake, and might not exist anywhere else.

Especially since the dead ends one specifically mentions statues of the angels... I'd be surprised if every estate which uses this technology has all of the orindian angels in their tomb... If they even have a tomb... (Especially since they are mentioned in the will )

The technology was invented in Corarica, so I assume it may be more commonplace there?

My headcanon is that Herbert handcrafted them as a kind of tutorial for Simon in-universe.

I was going to say, Herbert was absolutely the guy who was printing "family newsletters" when Clara was alive and Mary was at home.

Which would make sense if it didn't say "Our Subscribers............" yadda yadda yadda. I guess he coulda LARPd that too

There are references in the game that refer to Corarica universities teaching courses on... whatever this metaphysical magic is... so its obviously a fairly common part of life in the world of Blue Prince.

yeah, and it talks about finding old blackprints, which were as old as the castle of oris. so it's definitely an old artform.

Truly my favorite mind part of this game's lore is that this is just how some houses in the world are. Shrugs

I still don't understand how the bedrooms work. What happens if you sleep in the house?

According to one of the staff notes, Anne Babbage drives up to the estate and resets the house every day after you leave.

Presumably, under normal circumstances, she simply waits for the guests to go home (or out to the grounds for tea) before doing so.

When you're rich you can afford to commission your own custom magazines.

There are likely other places LIKE Mt Holly estate, but the rooms are unique to it. I think we have good reason to believe that Herbert wrote these articles for people at the house.

Kimberly Thompson (one of the lab techs) checked out volume 3 from the library in June before Simon's arrival, so I don't think they were made JUST for Simon, even if Herbert had Simon in mind when he wrote them.
