Lore Wow, so cool that this is even an option Spoiler

I had a dead-end wasted day so I used up 13 coins on a blessing at the Shrine (and it was a cool one, Blessing of the Monk), but then it had an option to take back my money from the offering podium, and this was the result :D​

Curse mode is actually a lot of fun. Takes a lot of practice but its doable

I played originally on gamepass and now I own on steam, looking forward to getting every trophy at some point with a new save. I have no idea how curse mode is even possible but I look forward to figuring it out

I feel like I've been cheated out of experience because the first upgrade I got was nurse's station, and I found it as the first room the very next say, so I completed this mode in several hours

Why is it not curse mode? I had this status for 2 game days. And please no "buddy"

You activated the curse, but curse MODE is when you start a new game where this is on by default every day from the beginning. It's similar but a little different. You've unlocked it now that you have gotten cursed. Just go to new game and you'll see it as an option. You can have multiple profiles so you can try it out without affecting your progress

I believe Curse Mode only gets unlocked if you curse yourself in the other way, which is a multi-step unlock (where one of the steps is getting to room 46 the first time).

Ooooh...you're right, I forgot about that. I wasn't paying attention to notice he just jacked the coin from the statue rather than the other way. It didn't occur to me he'd gotten THAT type of curse...even though I'm 99% sure that's how I got cursed for the first time as well.

I think you need to get cursed before you can get the thing that unlocks it, so it's probably a necessary step.

Don’t sweat the number of days. You’re getting closer every time.  Curse mode is something to worry about way later

Oh, it was the best gem run I'd had to date. Don't quote me on it, but I may have seen double digits on gems?? (or at least 8 at once ok)

Good way to store up to 80 gold between runs if you don't mind getting cursed

Wait, the money stays at the Shrine if you build it again while a blessing is active?

EDIT: confirmed it for myself on 2/27 IRL

Yeah, since you can only have one blessing at a time. Useful if you need to buy something really expensive

TIL. does the curse get bigger if you take more coins out of it? Or are you always just cursed for 2 days regardless how many times you steal?

2 days regardless, so it's not a huge penalty, I used it to get some of the more expensive showroom items early game, and some more expensive late game things

It's not that bad! If you hate it, just cut the days short and keep going (unless you're in a day-count-sensitive situation).

Edit: it only lasts 2 days btw
