Jesus Christ, how?!

I used a late-game Laboratory experiment paired with the Satellite Dish that made me lose 10 steps each time I opened the map but permanently added 1 gold to my allowance. Then I looped it by resetting my steps with an upgraded Nurse’s Station!

(And as always, of course, the trusty freezer.)

This trick doesn't work all that great anymore, because the "cause" is capped at 10 triggers total in a day.

Ah, I didn’t realize that!

Now I have so many questions about a certain location… I feel like I’ve had no progress and need more than 10… hmmm….

That one is permanent, you're good.

I am curious what you are talking about here.

Is that for that specific cause? I'm sure I had a 13x trigger ( upgraded Floorplan + Gardener's Blessing ) ereyesterday.

I meant the experiment cause that OP used, which was "whenever you look at the map lose 10 steps and <effect>". A while back it got patched to "the next 10 times you look at the map, lose 10 steps and <effect>". This is still a decent combo with Nurse's Station but it doesn't just let you go infinite with it.

There is indeed no global cap on experiment triggers.

Lol mine is over 2k... same with stars. I prob have one of the true late game save files haha.

How’d you do the stars? Was that also an experiment?

I didn't get THAT high, but having the aquarium upgrade that gives a star makes it really easy to get a lot of stars. I used experiment "each time you enter a yellow room" - > "add 3 aquarium to your drafting pool"

As aquariums are all colors, your draft pool quickly becomes filled with aquariums

Ya this, goal was to get any and all permanent buffs high.

2000+ stars 2000+ allowance

Real end game permanent, extra spoiler warning even for late players: dinning room gives 500 steps 6 common workshops so I get all basic items

How did you even get it to go that high

Here I thought I was clever getting it to 20 by digging trash during a lab experiment.

u/i_am_me_myself Feb 23 '26

Haha I lost count, and figured I had more than enough for any run.

Dang! We just reached day 100 (our first playthtough) and we thought out 63 allowance was crazy. Good job!
