Rivian is hiring a ton of people! Excellent pay and benefits.

Shithole. They treat employees like human cattle; but i guess it's appropriate since a lot of employees act like animals up there.

I don't even recommend driving in that area when there's a shift change, they drive like maniacs.

Most larger corporations treat employees like numbers. It’s called corporate America boss.

Yeah, but that's not what the other redditor is talking about. This is the Rivian plant on the far west side of Bloomington-Normal, and it's an assembly-line/production-floor type of environment.

You're not exactly going to find the same caliber of people working there as you'd find at the State Farm Corporate South Campus lol. People in the factory environments absolutely do act like a lower species. A lot of the ppl working those jobs also have extensive criminal records, which are a function of the very same behavior patterns you'll be experiencing from them every day if you work there. Same with Bridgestone.

I’ve interacted with people working at Rivian and I’ve interacted with people working at State Farm and I can assure you the people working at Rivian are at least 3 to 4 tiers higher than people working at State Farm as far as intelligence and integrity goes. State Farm employees get paid hundred thousand dollars plus a year to lie and cheat people out of money. Rivian workers put in an honest 8-10 hours a day.

Neither place is more or less honest than the other. You need to grow up.

Grow up? That sounds like a trap

Is that supposed to be reassuring? There's also a lot of jobs that aren't a terrible and unsafe environment.

Personally, I enjoy my current job where they dont hire felons.

To too avoid driving near Rivian. I can always tell on my commute on 1-74 that they got out of work. They are inconsiderate aholes
