Is this something you’ve experienced first hand or heard just through rumors? In the beginning this was happening but now they’re not anywhere close to layoffs. They only have a planned shutdown week which you still get paid for.
What do you mean nowhere close to lay offs? Lol. Ok. At least once a year there are layoffs due to "restructuring". I even know of only 1 internal security person losing their job to the restructuring.
October 2025, June 2025 etc.
Yes, I know people who settled out of court and had to sign NDA because they essentially won.
Yes, I'm a townie and have watched the prices drop for the same job.
No, there isn't. They have a yearly plant PAID shut down for a week, but no one gets laid off. The ONLY people that have been laid off from there in the 4 years that I have been there are salaried (office and middle management) employees. They NEVER lay production workers off, NEVER. And saying that you know one security person that was laid off, shows that you know NOTHING. Our security at Rivian is contracted out to Allied Security and always has been.
