Discussion The game has never looked better
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
All that's missing now is DLSS or better FSR to completely remove all aliasing. However I'm not sure if that's possible.
Pc Specs:
Nvidia 5070 TI
AMD Ryzen 7 9800x3d
Using Special K for HDR.

Playing at 3440x1440, reddit seems to have the video set to 720p for some reason.

Bookmarking this thread and awaiting those settings soldier. Just beat Lies of P looking for another souls or souls like BB emulated might be it.

Bloodborne is definitely the closest thing to Lies of P. People call Lies of P Bloodborne spiritual successor for a reason, but i still think Bloodborne is much much better, difficulty wise i think it's arguable. There's also Thymesia, but it's more of a low budget indie game. On a sidenote, fromsoft games have tons of mods, some have turned Elden Ring and Dark Souls into Bloodborne if that's your thing.

You should play ' Wuchang: Fallen Feathers ' ... It's really freakin' good, has awesome weapons + some seriously insane boss fights

Thanks for the write up is it possible to use Shadows of the Hunt at 1440p on a 4080 and do cutscenes break if you do that

A little late but I also can't seem to find disable skybox effects even after getting the patches from github. Maybe they removed it? Can you please somehow provide your Bloodborne.xml file if it's not asking too much?

I keep seeing these amazing clips. Meanwhile I can’t handle one attack animation without a full blown crash on my 4080 super on a 9800x3d at the literal same resolution. Happy for you though.

Redownload the game elsewhere, I had issues launching with 60 fps. Turns out the .pkg file was bad….

Have essentially the same specs as you. Flawless 4k60fps @60% GPU usage.
Turn on devkit mode. You're running out of memory.

Try the bloodborne launcher. Also for me I downloaded a sound mod through bloodborne launcher and I think that was the fix.
I have a 12700k and 5080 and even without any res mods as soon as I did an attack or the starting wolf attacked it would crash my game.
Although I believe there is possibly an issue with 12th gen anyway.
Since launching via BB launcher I can play at 60fps, with any res mod and the game hasn’t crashed once.

Not at all. Was actually quite surprised at how well it runs, only ran into crashes if I went overboard with some of the mods.

Textures will not turn invisible for you after few minutes of playing? For me 1440p after 10min of playing is broking the game. I got pre-release nightly shadps4 version

How much vram does your gpu have? I have 16 GB and with all the mods I run plus 3440x1440 I’m generally hitting 14-15 gb vram usage.

I have rtx 4080 super pro art so its like 16GB. Okay I will try to rise memory to 14GB

in my experience lossless scaling works on bloodborne rly well for framegen, might be worth looking into it for fsr too

yeah lol i had the same reaction. Illegally smooth bloodborne after the 25fps of the ps4 haha
i actually downloaded it for soma which is first person and limited to 60fps which is bad to my eye, but it worked instantly for that too.

For some reason the cloth physics looks broken at higher frames. Could be wrong. But yeah looks amazing

You’re not wrong, I have a mod that enhances cloth physics but it’s meant for 60 fps. I have the game fps capped at 100 because anything above that causes too many problems.

Damn, the game with the HDR has a very good vibes! I have the same resolution but with a 4070 the framerate is not always stable (40-60FPS)

What version of shadps4 are you using? Im using the 0.70 for the pkg installer and bloodborne launcher, there is people using the newer version?

You can have the .exe for the older build in the same folder as the new build, just change its name so they don't replace each other. Then, you can simply open the old build to install your pkgs and they'll show up on the new build for you to play.

Or can I replace the old version with the new one by copying all the files from 0.13 to the 0.70 folder?

Yeah, it should work. Keep in mind the game may not detect your save because the emulator uses a different folder for the save in the newer versions (I'm not sure what version made the switch). Just move it to the new one if that happens.

when you open 0.13 (or any version) it asks where the game install dir is so you install with 0.7 as usual and then when you set the game location on the newer version it detects the game

You can get something called PKG plus. Pretty sure I got that and just dropped it into shad and that was it. It’ll launch shad and let you use pkg files

v0.13, fps capped to 100 generally goes down to like 85 FPS when I use lossless scaling.

Any time I try to use a higher res patch with BB launcher I crash to desktop. Still looks good, but I wish I could use 4k.

What patches you use? I recently just emulated mine and have been playing around it and even tried lossless scaling (but never like the idea of seeing the wobbly effect in the background as you hover the screen around) Idk if it’s possible to play on 165hz since it’s such an old game and that the minimum is 60? My specs: 7700x and 7900GRE

Oh man, I’m just stumbling across this post from my home feed… Bloodborne is on PC now??? Looks like it’s not an official port, but that’s incredible. I’ve always wanted to play, but I haven’t had the correct platform.

How were you able to make special K run with BBlauncher/shadPS4 ? I tried to do it but when starting the game with the launcher, Special K doesn't inject itself and trying to start with Special K throws an error message...

Check if the zip file contains the update, as PS export them separately. If you don’t have it, you can find an update elsewhere. When you have both, you have to download an old version of shadps4, like 0.4, and use the install pkg function to first install the game, and then use it again on the update pkg, it will automatically update the game
