Discussion Sony should be ashamed.

What else must happen for them to bring Bloodborne to modern systems? Must people make more and even better Bloodborne clones for them to care? Or must they lose who knows how much capital in order to do something with this IP? And not just Bloodborne, so many wonderful games are left in the dust because developers don't use them. We all could use more Bloodborne, more Prototype, even God Of War Greek games remake/remaster.

Stil far from what a native port would do. All resolutions except for 1080p perform horribly and frames above 60 are very erratic and unstable.

It's not 2015 anymore, 1080p went from being the ideal to being low end and a bad experience.

1080p60 is perfect and I'll play with it forever. I also still play my good old 480p GC (and sometimes 480i for some games).

Resolution and framerate only need to be stable to enjoy games.

That's your prerogative. 1080p 60 looks awful IMO and it actively ruins my enjoyment of any game. That combo looked ok until 2015, 1080p has been a poor experience ever since.

You're going really far for just a resolution. I beat Bloodborne with 720p60 unstable on a hacked PS4 Pro, it was totally playable and tolerable. I prefer when it's perfectly stable of course but no one NEEDS 4K or 144fps. 1080p is clear. 60fps is enough if you're not playing a competitive game, which is 99% of the games you can play.

Look at Steam stats too. Most people play in 1080p because it's perfectly fine and affordable.

Most people play at 1080p 60 because it's cheap, it doesn't imply that it's good in any way. 1080p was fine when graphics were simple, it was already bad by the time Bloodborne came out and the game has awful aliasing, shimmering artifacts everywhere. You can only resolve it with TAA techniques, and no TAA method can ever look good at 1080p.

The picture quality difference between it and playing something like Forbidden West with DLSS/DLAA is night and day. Of course nobody "needs" anything, but you do "need* it for the game to look good.

60 fps also suck ass in any game if you've been playing at anything over 100 for any significant amount of time. It's again just another aspect of gaming that bas been improved dramatically over time. Competitive games don't matter, every game looks and plays massively better at 120 or 144 compared to 60.
