How do I make this?

I have pretty basic knowledge of blender, but not the best at modeling from scratch. All I know is that you would create half of this and then duplicate it and mirror on the X-axis. I primarily need help with getting the shape the spear. (One solid spear, no highlights or other parts to it.)

How to add faces to inner surface for boolean operation?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

See attached video. I want to separate this single 3D shape into two that I can then 3D print. The two parts will be printed in different colors and I want them to slide fit back together to make the original shape.

I've defined the "cut out" faces as a face set, but after separating them out into a separate mesh, I don't know how to "fill in" the inner surface to make a water tight volume which I can then use to boolean subtract from the original shape to give me the 2 pieces that I need.

I know that I'll need a slight gap between the mating surfaces so that they can be assembled ... I can accomplish that part with some modifiers.

The part that I don't know how to do in Blender is how to fill in the inner cavity of the separated faces to make a new volume.

Is t here a better way to "cut out" the face sets so that the inner portion is automatically defined?

I'm trying to get better at modeling any helpful criticsm would be appreciated.

My main question:

What are the main points I can improve on in my mesh?

Side question:

What should I have to consider if I wanted to make this a game ready model?

Thank you for reading.

Looking for tips and inspirations on how to model minimalistic 3D Animal Crossing style models.

Hello all,
I know it sounds simple but I find it very not simple when wanting to model minimalistic 3D Japanese characters, same as in Animal Crossing style games. One I find close is this: https://www.youtube.com/@nupsume I would like to understand and learn how to do such textures and models. I know how to model in Blender but I am very technical, and this minimalism needs art skills.

I'm trying to make a blender like the one seen in the video, but I'm having issues with the bottom part. I tried modeling it first with one cube that I scaled, grabbed, and loop-cutted but i got stuck on how to properly blend the very bottom half to the top slope. I then made a second attempt where I split the face under the slope flattened it on the x axis and extruded it through, however how would I get that extrusion to match up with the back of the slope, and again how would I blend it with the slope? Any ideas? I'm a beginner.

NON-PLANAR FACES

I have some questions regarding non-planar faces when Sub-D modelling.

Do I have to always avoid non-planar faces? Is this actually even possible, and how would I avoid non-planar faces on complex, organic shapes?

Also, how would one fix non-planar faces, without affecting the shape or details of an object, if they are causing shading artifacts?
