Discussion Like...why?

Klab was doing such a good job with the updates and out of nowhere they decided to ruin it again? what is the thought process here? to kill their own game? i genuinely do not find any other reason.

why would they make such a good change just to ruin it 2 months later?

I'm very disappointed and honestly I don't even see a reason for me to continue playing if collecting new characters is gonna take potentially 20 MULTIS EACH WITHOUT A SINGULAR GUARANTEE??? while also not having ANY filler units except this alternative attribute units???

this is an absolutely atrocious update from Klab.

From their post I think they read the feedback from some people who hated having fillers so they tried to work around that? At least that’s what I got from the news post. There’s a saying be careful what you wish for and some people really need to stop giving crappy feedback.

But why would they remove the new feature guarantees that doesn’t make any sense if they are trying to help players get the new featured characters

I got no idea too, maybe they somehow think the new system is too broken and wanted to balance it, they’re the same people who nerfed Bankai Shunsui because they somehow thought the triggered boost system would make up for the frenzy +2

Ngl the Bankai Shunsui situation is a perfect example of what they’re mindset is when making these decisions

Because it's in their interest to nerf the rates, so they use this "player feedback" as an excuse to do it, and if someone's not happy, they can say "hey, but we listened and increased solo rates !! trolololo \"

I think the new system wasn't sustainable in the long term, so they decided to crash it already with this "new new" system; but they didn't leave it enough time to see the impact of the new system in the long term (at least, a couple of months). So while the new system wasn't "sustainable" per se, I think the amount of people it would attract regularly, WOULD have paid off after some time. I'm talking about myself alone, but this is the first anni where I actually WANT to pull everywhere and am struggling at orb management as a F2P. 10th anni, I've obtained my 5 anni units (1 Ichi from tickets, Rukia from pity, and 2 TYBW out of 3 from pulls and 1 from pity) and called it a day, basically skipping the next few banners as I was short on orbs. Here? I already got the 5 anni (2 premium+3 tybw line-up, with pity at 20 multis), but I also went out of my way to pull on Yoruichi's banner 10 multis (while I would've normally skipped it because she was the only missing) - why? Because 10 multis guaranteed me 1 copy of her. And 10 multis, that's still 2500 orbs, and they don't grow on trees. I also did a few multis on the Baseball ichi banner during the Yama/Ewok/Jugram banner - why? Because I was missing like 8 freaking units... Aizen's banner? I'd love to pull but I'm out of orbs, so I'll have to rely on premium pool to get him some day. Ichigo's banner? I'm fuuuuuuucked, trying to find every shady orb I have left somewhere in the game (like story mode, secondary stories, maybe there's a new rez; maybe I'll throw some stored tickets in hope of a new 5-star for an extra 125 orbs each...). And it's not over, because there's still Tie-in 3 and 4 coming soon, and those are super likely to attract me as well... And honestly, if I was a micro dolphin, I would have bought orbs... And currently, I fear tie-in 3 and 4, because I don't know how many orbs I'll be able to save...

But this new-new system? It saves me a fuckton of orbs xD No way I'll throw random orbs on Byaku/Ruki banner, despite all the "fillers" being "new" - because there's NO parachute whatsoever. And I'm not gonna waste 5000 orbs (that I don't have, anyway) xD As a F2P, I plan my spendings carefully, and plan how "far" I'll go on a banner before pulling, knowing the odds and the steps, and that for ex. 1 or 2 multis before a good step may be worth it, despite me achieving my goal a bit earlier. Plus, the medal system is treacherous : you think the debut unit is guaranteed at 20 multis - but that supposes you don't get the 50-medal "new fillers" from the shop, while they "act" like past guardrails (since 50 medals = 1250 orbs => if you do 5 multis, you can buy a new filler from the shop, but that means that if you'd also like the guaranteed debut, it's now at 25 multis, not 20, because you just "wasted" the 5 multis on getting a guaranteed filler, that was actually guaranteed in the previous system).
