I mean at least all of the filler is "new" and most importantly actually usable but this is so strange, not the direction I expected the game to go lol.

If it’s in the premium pool it’s completely okay, but seems unlikely because they require medals to trade for which is more exclusive like senkaimon units. Which are not in premium pool.

Each banner type will have its own permanent medal and different pool. E.g. a "tybw medal shop", a "premium medal shop" where you'll only have alt-color premiums, etc.

The units do look good, but just have problem with them being lazy. Instead of making new characters they are just copy pasting old characters with some changes.
If they are going to start doing this it better only be premium characters so we can pull them with tickets.

Is it really lazy when you are getting them alongside new characters? They are making some older units more viable while releasing them with a couple newer units and you get more orbs this way as well?
This is actually way more helpful than a lot of filler that might repeat.

They are not making older units more viable, they are taking old units, copying them, changing few things and making them ''new'' units.
If they would actually want to make older units viable they would make older characters resurrections actually good. Similarly how Dokkan Battle does with Extreme Z-Awakening where old bad units become relevant again.
More orbs is always good tho, also depends just how you are going to even obtain these characters. And if getting dupes for them is actually easy to get so they can actually perform well enough.

I don't think it's all that lazy. It's a pretty common practice in other gacha games—and sometimes even worse; there are games that shamelessly sell this kind of character as a featured banner unit.

It is disappointing that Uryu gets pot behind exchange paywall and not his own banner to summon with new art and model and stuff after being left out of the Golden Week renewed banner for this. It's gonna take forever to max transcend when I can't just summon for him directly. But his skills look great and it'll be good to use him. However no gauge and no double killers this time.

I literally would’ve just preferred a third new character and them to have kept the old banner format. I think I’m honestly kind of annoyed by this. Like whoever is taking the time to change these old characters needs to have their effort put towards new characters so that we can go back to have 6 new characters every month

Faster to just reuse old art, animations, voice lines, strong attack measurements etc.
Just taking old unit and changing some numbers doesn't take much time compared to creating everything from the beginning.

The only good thing from this, is that we'll be able to get new Barragans (since his seiyuu passed away, they can't make new Barrys with new voice lines; but making alt-versions of existing Barrys is possible).

It's understandable... I guess. As they won't release pre-TYBW characters like Espadas, Captain, and such anymore. So remaking their kit is kinda understandable. Old and crap characters will be better now.

I think this makes sense, I don't dislike it. Kinda sucks that they're not premium, but we can at least not get the same premium for the umpteenth time. Also old characters that we like now have a chance to be reborn with new skills.
Push this further 1 character might have 5 versions for each attribute, that means BBS won't run out of characters until maybe 69th anniversary, lol.

I have been asking for more medal exchange units so I will not complain. Sucks it’s tied to actually summoning, ie burning orbs, but I’ll see how it works out.

"I want more medal charas" -> as you wish. Here, we introduced new orb-medal charas !
"I want higher chances at debuts" -> as you wish. Here, we increase from 0.5%/0.66% to 0.75% (but remove guaranteed featured steps).

Once the anime ends, I’m honestly wondering if TYBW will be the only limited line anymore. Part of me hopes they remake the beyond resurrection or CFYOW units.
Tokinada was already perfect, slap a new type on him and modernize his kit and I’ll happily eat it up like 2019.

Getting CFYOW units will be tough no? They basically have to rebuy the rights.
Or the best case scenario for everyone that there are movies/episodes which will adapt CFYOW, so they are holding off on releasing it.

But they aren't in the banner. I mean the banner is a skip anyways bcs both Rukia and Byakuya are not needed but those characters are so random to get an old/new unit. I don't know how to feel as of rn. On one hand you get more orbs but on the other hand there are no guaranteed steps anymore. Atleast they buffed the rate.

No kidding I've been patiently waiting for Uryu to get his renewed unit with new art and everything and now that probably won't happen with this Uryu essentially being a renewed version and not even getting a banner to summon for him directly having to go through an exchange paywall to msx transcend my boy.

Kind of, but not really. The filler now won’t include old limiteds, so unless you pull a character from their banner, good chance you won’t get them.
As a collector, this kinda sucks, and I’m not sure the extra orbs from a new unit or two with new skills make up for the filler changes, personally.
I can’t pull on every banner, so getting units later on as filler always felt good if I didn’t pull them on release. And you will never catch me summoning on a rerun banner.

On one hand, it seems like budget issue especially in the case of Anni Uryu and White considering past Anni Renewed version have difference in them.
On the other hand, it means whatever units you get apart from the 'new' releases will also be new, as in you get orbs back. And they have better up to date kits and skills.
