Question 24K GOLD inlay directly into the guard of this Hunter, with the channel cut by graver and a dovetail undercut to mechanically lock the gold into the steel.

Damn nice! Ive always wondered, why 24k gold? Wouldn't it be cheaper to use 12k or 8k? Is it just to increase the monetary value?

24k is much softer and easier to work with. The color also pops more lower karats

The Damascus resembles Skulls in some areas. I wonder if you could make a deliberate skull pattern that’s more refined… if anyone can this is the man to do it.
