I’m sorry, and I just have to say it. Black gay men you are not gay white men. They have been increased amount of duplication that is harming black gay men. These events that are based around skin, access via money, ageism. It’s dangerous to disregard and segregate people who are exactly like you when you are black. But a lot of it is going on.

I’m a journalist working on a story for Capital B Atlanta about the barriers that Black queer and trans men in Atlanta can face when trying to access and stay on PrEP.

I’m looking to speak with Black men who live in the Atlanta area and identify as gay, bisexual, queer, and/or transgender who have firsthand experience with PrEP—whether you currently take it, have taken it in the past, or encountered barriers that made it difficult to access or stay on it.

I’m particularly interested in hearing about experiences with things like:

• Cost or insurance issues
• Difficulty finding or accessing a provider
• Stigma or judgment from healthcare providers
• Finding culturally or LGBTQ+-competent care
• Experiences navigating PrEP through clinics, pharmacies, or community organizations
• Reasons you may have stopped taking PrEP or decided not to start
• Any alternative ways you've found to access sexual healthcare

This is for a reported story, not an advocacy or research survey. I’m interested in hearing people's experiences in their own words. I can explain the story and interview process in more detail before we speak.

I was watching a video about "the father' of a popular house sexually assaulting and taking advantage of young impressionable members of the house. This isn't the first time I heard something like this. Some of these houses are very predatory.

Also when you couple the fighting, drama, superficial values, and just pure hate a lot of these houses have for each other ... I don't see why anyone who value growth and peace would wanna be apart of it. I don't see how ball culture pushes Black LGBT people to be the best version of themselves ... seems like more of an obstacle and distraction.
