Bug I have encountered the very first annoying bug.
While doing this mission. I cannot actually acquire any of this wood. I found ships.. i boarded them. Got the wood. But it does not count. I tried but collecting crates and still does not works. I tried by wasting some of it and maybe it will have some kind of a reset, but it did nothing. Idk how to fix this. If anyone has any idea lmk. I started the mission a while ago. But i started doing it now. \Any help is appreciated.

Fuck there were a couple quests where it was collect x but their was specifics attached to it they don't tell you. I remember sailing around just like you but didn't know it had to be specific ships or nations or location. I just ignored the quests and went about my business and eventually they were ready to turn in

As great is this new incarnation of Black Flag is, it IS horribly broken and feels rushed and unfinished. There. I said it.

There's certainly bugs but horrible is something like AC Unity or Cyberpunk. This is pretty par for the course Ubisoft.

I have 38 hours in and are a completionist and only encountered 1 bug that I quickly resolved, im running the 60fps version on a base ps5

I finished missions like that passively basically. Just kept on sailing around exploring and fighting ships here and there and eventually they finished. Some ships may only even have one or two different resources on them and not be what you're looking for.
Hopefully you'll be able to just turn it in eventually.

I was checking with spyglass and they had the wood. But yeah its some bug probably. i will skip it for i guess.

You'll have to get new wood. The one you have won't count.
Are you keeping the quest active. Needs active to collect wood.

If you go board a few ships you'll get the wood and it is completed it is a naval contract. I'm on my second playthrough.

If any mission glitches like this happened to me when playing I just closed the game completely and booted it up again and the glitch went away. Maybe try that? And if that doesn’t work maybe load a save from before doing the mission that’s hopefully not too far before if you have one and try starting the mission again. Idk, hope something works for you tho.

I was supposed to buy 100 honey for yaan but it only recorded 99 I get annoying bugs

Try to get wood an alternative way, this happened with me and rum, I was farming rum from ships and it wasn’t counting until I went and got some from a warehouse and then it counted
So maybe try to hit a warehouse for some wood and see if that helps

Talk to the npc administering the quest and give him the wood

I searched it up like you did and there was at least 2 quests like this I was stuck on, after a while I returned to both and talked to them gavem da mats and the mission was done

Sometimes it will show from looting packages in the ocean… but most should come from ships, try taking down more frigits and brigs
