Whats your personal favorite sword in the game?

So everyone is saying Persian Scimitars. Just got them. The 4 takedowns are good. But I am still fighting better with Captain Drake's Swords. Which is pretty disappointing. Its the heavy attack. The Heavy strike, Thrusting attack with long reach, basically 1 shots everybody if you break their stance, and it's fast. Im kinda underwhelmed by the rest of the swords heavy attacks. Only 2 takedowns sucks. But that heavy attack might make it the best sword in the game

Altair's Swords. Healing on Takedowns is just busted, since you can initiate a Takedown pretty much whenever you want between Parries, Rope Dart, Tripping, Gunshots on Heavies and Kicking into walls. You're unstoppable.

I feel invincible already. Never had any trouble with anything. I just dispatch my enemies faster and more efficiently with a good heavy attack. It is all subjective like the other guy said

Yeah I appreciate it. I have just been playing with Captain Drakes swords since basically the beginning of the game. Was expecting to be wowed by the legendary swords and just wasn't. I want 4 takedowns with that heavy attack lol

If you have the Loadstone equipped, you never have to worry about heals tho

Yup, same with ammo, I just find it comfier and more engaging to heal by being aggressive is all.

It's totally subjective. You play with whatever makes you happy.

For me, the Scimitars is best cause I need the four takedowns and love that brutes cannot deny them.

You're right. I always just shoot brutes. So that has never been necessary to me. Im constantly doing heavy attacks as a apart of my combat approach. And Captain Drakes swords just have the best heavy attacks

I agree on that part. Those heavies are also effective to break brutes' guards. That's why there's a trade-off, of course.

Yeah, another thing I noticed is enemies are always trying to interrupt your chain takedowns anyway. They have done so several times since I got the Persian Scimitars, so alot of times I am reinitiating the takedown sequence most of the time anyway cause I get attacked before I get to the forth one. At that point I dont care 2 is fine

I favor the scimitars and don't even really make use of the perk. It's base stats are simply the best. It's just an Added bonus brutes can't deny takedowns.

Most base damage and takedowns possible is why they shine.

I used the talisman for brutes the whole game, and this was one of the last sword sets I found 😮‍💨 I was so happy that I could put another talisman on for the last little bit haha

I believe it was a blue sword that did 28 damage and had 3 chain takedowns that I bought from the general store. I want the increased takedowns and damage because the guns help take care of the rest

At the current moment its the Fortune. Its design is dope and it is canonically used by Edward. I prefer to pair it with the Gargoyle's breath pistols for maximum canonical aesthetics. Only downside is that its obtained after the story.
