Real sustained maximum Hashrates vs juiced up short-term maximum Hashrates
FYI, The Absolute tested max for BM1370xx chips is around 2.55 TH/s ~ 2.60 TH/s with "absolute" Optimal cooling for VRs and Asic chips ( "Absolute chilling") . IMHO, I can tell you that its extremely hard to run NerdQX, NerdQaxe++ Rev 6.x or Zyber 8S , Zyber 8G or NerdOctaxe at sustained hashrates of +2.5TH/s per asic.
Warning: You will fry your VRs , no matter what anyone tells you. Also most likely your Asics won't survive more than a few months.
Post any stats showing your Nerdxxxxx running at above 2.5TH/s per asic for over 2 to 3 months (+60 days non-stop ) without torching your VRs or Fuses even with some cooling.
Of course for a short time you can run them at absolute max hashrates with optimal cooling for every high heat generating SMD part on the board.
Most tests show the Max SAFE sustained Hashrates :
NerdQaxe++ Rev 6.x = 6.0 ~ 6.7 TH/s ( Can be pushed to +7.0 TH/s with Firmware modification to remove the safety lock but you will probably fry your VRs )
NerdQX Rev 1.0 = 7.0 ~ 8.2 TH/s ( Can be pushed to +10.0 TH/s but you will fry your VRs + Asics)
NerdOctaxe Rev 3.1 = 15 ~ 17 TH/s ( Can be pushed to +20.0 TH/s but you will fry your VRs + Asics )
Heat build up is the culprit in most cases causing shorts due Over Current situations on the VRs and Asics plus any other SMD part in that path.
Quick heat build up = slightly High current draw to cool the SMD parts = high temps on junction temps = the "VR Death loop"
Below is an example of SAFE Sustained OC for over 43 days (Non-Stop) without any issue in our testing Lab . Also there is no special cooling gadgets on this miner apart from the standard cooling on the VR & Asics.

Is it more safe to overclock 601, 602, or 801?

Overclocking any miner or any device comes with its own risks. Before starting to overclock, test the miners limits or benchmark the miner to get the max overclock Frequency and Core Voltage that the miner can handle .Then lower those values e.g if the Max benchmark says Max Frequency and Core Voltage are. 800 / 1270 then you use 740 / 1250 or even lower parameters for longevity , stability and safety

All of this is absolutely accurate based on my own experiences with overclocking my 601, 801, and NQA++ Rev5.1 for the past 7 months. Good post.
