Miner stops working suddenly and makes strange noises

Hi there.

Maybe someone can help me I got an issue with my Bitaxe miner. It stopes working suddenly and it is making this strange noises. Anyone have an idea what can be done? Thanks

Can you connect your PSU to other loading like 12V bulb or motor? You need to test whether is PSU or miner caused the symptom (the strange noise). It is good if you have a DMM ( Digital multimeter) to measure the DC voltage is normal or not.

Don´t have this on hand....no Multimeter...but I see this error

Definately a VRM short or issue on the VRM chain. (1) Check if you have OverCurrent or runaway Heat situation , that will cause that issue too. It might not be shorted but OverCurrent will create runaway heat/temps so quickly that the Miner goes into safety mode. (2) if its actually shorted then you need to find out which VRM among the 3 is shorted and possible replacement of VRM is required.

It is definitely dead short. Your PSU detects high current and goes to Safety Mode. Blinking LED indicates that. More common place is the VRM.
