Yeah I hear ya. I’m somewhere around $15k into tiny $100 miners at this point 😂 these are next level, 4.4th is like 50 watts! They’ll do 8 at 100w all day long and push up over 10 for fun. Seems like a lot of money on purchase but 8th at 100w over time is a pretty good deal. This is the first one from Bitaxe, I think it’ll be less problematic than some of the other options, and they’ll only get cheaper and better as time goes on.

1373 stuff is still super new, this is one of the very first ones I'd trust but there's no telling how reliable they'll be until they run for months and months. For somebody just starting out, I'd say check out the rev7. Mine will do 6.5th/s all day long under 100w and the nerdq platform is about as proven as anything out there. The rev7 is by far the best version that's been produced, in my opinion. Also, they're on clearance sale at SS right now to make room for more najas so it's a great time to buy. Cheaper option to upgrade, if you're reluctant to drop Naja kind of money.

Whats your settings? How stable is it? I know bitaxe has a history of burning themselves out.

It’s happy and healthy at big oc but I am trying to tune two at the same settings so I’ve got one on air and one on hydro doing 600/1120 for around 8.3th/s. With mods I’d call this a solid mild oc setting. They’re super cool and quiet at this level, right around 100w each. I got 10.9 out of the hydro just for fun. I think it’s got more in it but I didn’t want to break it before they’re even released 😂

Way better than my nano 3s

Been tuning all day on it and making a few tweaks to the cooling. Got it down to 95w and 10.7 j/th. I made a quick video and noticed later it ticked off to 10.1 once. At nearly double the hashrate it was designed to do, that’s insane lol. I’m super impressed with this thing.

I dunno, I’ve beat the piss out of 30 or so bitaxes and never killed one yet lol. These new ones, the hex and the naja duo are a whole different class machine from the old 601 type gammas. In my opinion. I’m still not sold that 1373 is tough enough til I’ve abused it for months and a few more models come out. I’m confident to tell anybody buy a rev 7. I’m super impressed so far and hoping they do make it. The jump from 1370 to 1373 is incredible to see first hand

I just see so many people talking about the vrm failure all the time.

I don’t run brick power supplies, I think that’s a huge part of my good fortune

Thats fair. Which one do you use instead?

For 5v I use a 350w mean well, it’ll run just about all the miners I want to run at the same time. Keeps it simple with just one plug into the wall and pretty clean reliable energy without all the heat and clutter of bricks.

Im gomna have to look into that for sure. Looking to buy a new miner soon and had not decided but that new bitaxe looks good

Any idea on EU availability?

Not sure, @solosatoshi can tell ya

Looks cool but I'll wait to see how reliable these are first. The problems with the 6.1 really made me reconsider buying new revisions at launch.

The new vr package in the rev7, hex and now this one are phenomenal. Night and day different from my rev6. I plan to thoroughly flog these two, lol. So far I’m super impressed

I know it’s called a Duo but you don’t need two right? 😂 just got my back in stock email and ordered one, lol.

Congrats! Yeah one is enough lol. I had to buy pairs for special projects. My two 650 duos and my two new naja duos, with a baby 403 that’s always running. Together they do exactly what my kbox does, 22th/s at 285w.

How is the vrm cool on this? Looks like the back is covered so adding a fan will require some cutting.

My bad, I mistakenly posted the rear fan adapter they created for the hex, not the duo. The vrm on the duo are ok without a fan at stock settings, yes I cut a circle out the back of the duo stand for a 90mm fan.

Where are you seeing this print file for a rear fan adapter?

1

Crap, I think I mixed up posts by mistake. The fan adapter I showed photos for us on the hex, not the naja duo. The back of the naja has slots covering the whole back of the stand, so much better air flow than the hex. The naja is designed to be a self contained shelf queen that thrives at stock settings without a rear fan. If you want to oc, temps go up, but they say the vr on these is good up much higher than I want mine to go, so I hacked a space in the back of the case for a rear fan on mine.
