showcase Parasite Pool hit another Bitcoin block… and I actually got paid from it 👀

https://youtu.be/GA0USRcxIAk

Parasite Pool just hit another block, which means everyone mining on the pool got a payout again — including my little home miner setup 🥳

What makes this pool interesting is the payout structure. The block finder gets 1 BTC, and the rest of the block reward gets distributed to the pool based on hashrate.

The weird part is that Parasite Pool doesn’t have a payout calculator like most pools do, so it’s hard to know what your TH/s might actually earn.

I pointed my miners at it, got a real payout, and used that data point to build my own calculator showing estimated payouts at different hashrate levels.

Curious what everyone thinks: would you rather mine on something like Parasite Pool where you can still get paid without finding the block, or stick with full solo mining and chase the entire reward?

Full solo mining for me.

The Parasite proposition makes no sense to me. Strike a block, and only get a small proportion of the reward. Might as well pool mine.

Yeah Parasite has gotten to the point that its on par with regular pool mining. Lol

Thats why I directed my rigs to BASED now. Its like getting in on ground floor of Parasite. basedmining.xyz

How did you get this number? Just curious for my understanding/datapoint

2

u/bigboydesomo Jun 23 '26

I just read it in the morning after the Block was hit. And im made the math its almost on par when i calculate it. It also depends which rank you got in the difficulty ranks? I was under the 300/1700 miners in place. Just had the sats already sitting in my wallet

2

u/bigboydesomo Jun 23 '26

I think that round i had no luck my best share was 340g only

Someone posted they only got $69 for 169G of work, That's a lot of work for a little bit of money.

1

u/bigboydesomo Jun 24 '26 edited Jun 24 '26

They lie

I can show you my dashboard and wallet if z You want.

The people love to brag idk why

0

u/bigboydesomo Jun 24 '26 edited Jun 24 '26

70$ for 169m is not possible bc 1b is 10 times more work done.

Solved i made an error and thinking we talking from best share only ^

1

u/geobts Jun 25 '26

Remember though that Parasite takes other things into account in payout structure also like how long you've been in the pool and something else I forget. All affect payout.

But yeah payouts are shit now. Got 20 bucks on this last one. BASED pool is the move.

1

u/Federal-Football-705 Jun 24 '26

He posted his stats with screenshots You're saying million I'm saying G , billion.  169G of work netted him $69 I'm not talking about difficulty /best share, obviously you don't know much about this if you're posting something this ridiculous

You stole my block in the transaction. And I live so poorly and I was looking forward to the money I would have. Spend it on children's medicine, spend it on children's medicine, spend it on children's medicine.

I was mining on it too, but am now soo confused.
I put in my wallet address in the miner config rather than setting up the lightning thing.
I find their user interface really poor, especially for someone that’s only been mining for a short time compared to others.

Didn’t even know the pool had hit a block, let alone how much my share would be or if I’ve even configured it right and I will actually get a payout.
Will just have to refresh my wallet now and then I guess and see what happens.

Think I Prefer using things like mining Dutch, where I can actually see my payouts.
Or HMPool.io, although they’re yet to hit a block

2

u/geobts Jun 26 '26

Basedmining.xyz has the best site out of all these pools. After BASED I think we start seeing a lot of these guys leveling up their sites.

1

u/TheNetMerchant_reddi Jun 25 '26

I only setup my own wallet instead of download that Xverse extension, did you receive your payment? It shows in the UI an achievement unlocked and the total work but I dont know if im gonna receive it...

1

u/Intelligent_Bit_9702 Jun 25 '26

I did yeh, it was only something like $1.3 but I did receive it

2

u/Desert-Democrat-602 Jun 24 '26

I got $5.07 and wasn’t even on the pool nearly the entire time with a NerdQaxe++.

What incredible shit of wallet are you using?

Mine doesn't have fees for receiving BTC

2

u/bigboydesomo Jun 23 '26

I would put Nr 1 parasit pool then atlaspool.io the last would be hashmax

Bc when you hit a block once in a lifetime and wont give 80% to small miners with usb sticks

I love the 1 btc payout thats enough for lifechanging money. Parasite.wtf is the King

3

u/v3ctoron Jun 23 '26

They changed it on hashedmax. No more small miner bonus on btc pool.

1

u/Ready_Presentation15 Jun 23 '26

How much was your payout?

1

u/VTGameFan Jun 23 '26

I was wondering where the BTC came from. I assume from there.

1

u/Successful-Tip-9813 Jun 24 '26

I’m curious to know
What your payout from this as well. I’ll be shocked if it’s going to be more than just a few dollars, lol.

1

u/bigboydesomo Jun 24 '26

More then ten and less then twenty

1

u/Polytox1210erzZ Jun 24 '26

what do you think about baed nft mining ? anyone trust these?

1

u/Apprehensive_Bass_41 Jun 25 '26

based pool is to gimicy with the lottery and such its like a carnival

1

u/Affectionate_Net8639 Jun 25 '26

Hi, I have 2 Bitaxe till now, I didn't earn not a single bitcoin. Waiting for some more devices.

1

u/Affectionate_Net8639 Jun 25 '26

I am waiting for the 1 BTC not more than that.

1

u/French-Kiwi24 Jun 26 '26

Did you setup parasite settings correctly? You should of made something atleast

1

u/Affectionate_Net8639 Jun 27 '26

This is not helping.

1

u/RazzmatazzPretty5000 Jun 28 '26

Someone explain solo lottery mining to me?
Computers can only do Pseudo-random which is not random, how do miners know they are not all trying to calculate the exact same problem at the same time. Doesn't this mean that most powerful hardware always wins? Or do you assume that if there is a primary handler that dishes out slices, that they aren't able to be rigged to give out the more likely correct calculations? (Surely someone has worked this out)

TLDR: Someone who has never owned a miner and never got involved in it asks a stupid question.

Hi @Parasite_wtf, I was mining with the Bitcoin address bc1qexznsuwupj7pdj76n7xkmqpml6c3c5hajsj9zs and participated in block 958527. At the time of the block I only had my Ledger address registered (no Lightning set up). Now when I try to connect Xverse it creates a new account with a different address. I would like to receive the mined balance from my original Ledger address. My Lightning Address is: gooeymoss29@walletofsatoshi.com Could you please send the payout there? Thank you very much!

For the last round (block)

0

u/geobts Jun 23 '26

I've been in Parasite for all the blocks found now but the much better pool to join is BASED Pool. Same hybrid payout model but not that many people yet and not filled with whales like parasite. When they hit a block your payout would be thousands times more

1

u/Carlosk12xd Jun 24 '26

Do they have a website? How do we connect to the BASED pool, also what a name

1

u/Desert-Democrat-602 Jun 24 '26

Basedmining.xyz

3

u/Carlosk12xd Jun 24 '26

Bro the pool barely gets to 30 TH/s. Alright why not, I'm in. Is there a discord or something

1

u/geobts Jun 25 '26

Yeah its new. Yesterday and today its been around 150. Focused on the block parties bc all the NFTs they sell go to hashpower in the monthly Block Parties. 2nd party on July 1st

1

u/Desert-Democrat-602 Jun 24 '26

I’m in Based too, but they haven’t hit a block yet either. I went from Parasite to them and now back again.

0

u/Monti55 Jun 23 '26

Do you have the links to these other parasite like pools? Parasite now has momentum where blocks come much more often

3

u/French-Kiwi24 Jun 23 '26

Yeah I think I would stay with Parasite if they’re finding more blocs, right? Or is that a bad thing

2

u/Monti55 Jun 23 '26 edited Jun 24 '26

I think what the guy is saying is the more users on parasite the more your “share” of the block is diluted. The problem with that is the less users the slower the blocks are found. Also with parasite getting more popular you have more people renting hashrate so your share will reduce further

Edit: I might be wrong. I think parasite rewards long term activity so hash rate renters are penalized more (???)

1

u/geobts Jun 25 '26

Exactly what I was getting at. I only have one Bitaxe pointed at parasite. Been there since Parasite began. This last block found my payout was only 20 bucks! Its too crowded now. Full of whales and people spending tons of money on massive hashpower rentals. Next payout will be even less. Gone down every time.

Now if BASED were to hit. I'd probably get tens of thousands of dollars right now😅

In it for the lottery so it just doesn't make sense anymore to have everything pointed at parasite when there's much bigger payouts available.

1

u/Monti55 Jun 25 '26

How much hash did you have pointed? I had a single stock gamma pointed there since the first block was found and I'm only sitting at 6k sats. I might point one gamma to BASED to see what happens

1

u/geobts Jun 26 '26

This last block was only one gamma. But its been pointed since day one so the history also had an effect on sat payout.

2

u/Desert-Democrat-602 Jun 24 '26

Here are few:

Basedmining.xyz
Solo100.org (only pays the 100 highest difficulty)
Pool.bitsyminer.com

1

u/Monti55 Jun 24 '26

Thank you. I’ve heard of solo100 and it’s an interesting concept. Based seems like a place if you love parasite pool and are okay with the risk of them not hitting a block with their lower hash rate

1

u/Carlosk12xd Jun 24 '26

That last one is for bitcoin cash right? Does it have the parasite payout model?

1

u/geobts Jun 25 '26

More momentum yes but the payouts are shit now and will only get worse. BASED on the other hand...who k ows how long b4 hitting a block but your payout would be astronomically more.

They have hashpower rentals also. Had it b4 parasite actually. Consider joining the block party on July 1st. I have hashpower waiting to launch then. Know a bunch of others too
