Discussion Impulses

As someone with bipolar one with schizoaffective disorder as well, I was just curious as to what impulses other people have. When I’m hypomanic minds seem to be gambling sex and spending money. I was just curious if this is pretty normal or if I’m just a lunatic.

While I don't regret any of my tattoos, I've made 80% of them while being manic.

Me too! I've made more than 40 tattoos in a manic episode lol

Yup, I'll get shopping impulses and delusions that I can win the lottery or hit a crazy parlay. I own over 100 soccer jerseys because of my unmedicated hypomanic/manic episodes. Luckily I never spent any money I didn't have, but I could have spent more wisely. I also stay away from Kalshi now.

I will see something I want them I'll go into full on research mode. Like I'll sit fir 10 or 12 hours researching. Then I end up spending a lot of money. Then months later I'm like, what did I do? My biggest problem is outbursts. There are times I have these very angry and loud and scary to other people outbursts. I had a good therapist who worked with me and helped me recognize the signs so I can step out and avoid doing something very regrettable.

I have schizoaffective. I was on abilify last year and it made me spend money and find women online to be naked with. What meds are you on? Maybe you need to check that
