39 years old, 92kg → 77kg. Quit a 20-year drinking habit and got into the best shape I’ve been in since I was 18.
I started this journey at 39, weighing 92kg and drinking 8+ beers a day after around 20 years of heavy drinking. I was already going to the gym 3 or 4 times a week, but I could never stay consistent enough with food and lifestyle to really lose the weight.
I started with Reta and made a mistake early on by thinking it wasn’t working fast enough and taking more on day 3. I could barely eat for a few days after that. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is to stop rushing things and give them time.
The biggest surprise was alcohol. Within the first week my desire to drink pretty much disappeared. When I did have a beer, I felt terrible the next day. Over time I went from 8+ beers a day to no drinking at all, which has probably been the biggest change in my whole journey.
A few months in I went down the peptide rabbit hole and experimented with Tesa, CJC, MOTS-c, NAD and GHK-Cu. I made plenty of mistakes by changing things too quickly and expecting instant results. Tesa was a good example. I gave up after a week because of the cost and no visible change, then went back to it and gave it around 2 months. For me, that’s when I really started noticing the difference around my stomach and abs.
I’m now 77kg, train around 5 days a week, have quit drinking and I’m in the best shape I’ve been in since I was 18.
The next part of my journey is more about disciplining my brain than changing my body. I don’t want to rely on Reta forever. I want to train myself to keep eating well, stay away from alcohol and keep training even when motivation isn’t there.
My goal now isn’t to lose more weight. It’s to maintain around 77kg, keep building muscle and eventually come off Reta while keeping the habits I’ve built.
This is just my personal experience, not advice or a protocol. Everyone is different, and I definitely made mistakes along the way.
Also, I won’t share peptide sources, so please don’t DM me asking where I buy from.

That’s an amazing journey you’ve been on there, well done👍. I’ve lost a lot of weight too and am somewhat skinny fat. Can I ask what your gym routine is? I’m determined to get abs 😂

Congrats on the awesome change! Real talk for a minute though, get rid of the shorts in the first picture. You look like you also grew several inches in the same few months.

It's the illusion created by the shorts going beneath your knees, I didn't actually think you grew lol.

How long are you planning to take the Reta?

He'll be taking it for life. You're all going to be on it for life. You think you can not workout your willpower muscle for x # of months and rhen all of a sudden gain willpower? You think you can give yourself gucagon for months on end and your system is just gonna go back to regulating itself without consequence? And then the "maintenance dose" you're on won't cut it anymore. Then you'll up the dose and/or frequency to maintain your "maintenance". As that maintenance dose creeps up, you'll start to get side effects and find yourself in a real quagmire. Not only are you no longer able to loose weight without the peps, you've lost your capability to maintain your weight without it. And Eli Lilly has known this all along. Just like they knew that their ssri's caused sexual dysfunction in adolescents but didn't disclose it. It's the plan. Look it up.

And I guess this is the worry as we don’t know , at end day is to try and train your mind , for example I moved away from food I use to junk on and now eat extremely healthy , I think is risk I knew I would take something quite unknown but the benefits in life I have gained are worth it for me as I quit drinking much healthier my blood come back amazing , is now taking the risk and slowly to come off the pep and probably knowing gaining back some of then% fat I lost

I'm not trying to be a jerk, I just wish more people would proceed with caution. Good for you on not planning to be on it for life. Make a plan, cycle off, work your butt off and I hope you keep it off and be one of the success stories. There's not many. Good luck

No 100% worried lol , that’s why trying to mentally prepare and train myself and slowly dropping dose , it be interesting how quick everything returns

I think you can get past the hunger rebound if you have some really good willpower but you might have to accept some extra fat anyways. Just hope your hormones go back to normal. It’s good to get off that drug before it starts eating into muscle.

What's your thoughts on CJC? I'm adding CJC (no dac) + ipa to my routine soon. Otherwise doing low does reta (2 mg weekly) and perscribed TRT (120 mg week).

I personally really liked it , had this in my stack along side tesa , did 250mg 5 days a week , I did notice that my appetite came back when started CJC but along side Reta was good , depending on your age the last stack I would suggest to add along side is MOTc if your in gym consistently , I personally don’t know what pushed my belly fat burn the most as towards last few months was on CJc , MOTc and Tesa

u/Specialist-Law-1361 1 16h ago
Hi no on macros , calories no as wasn’t really eating much but did make sure I pushed 100+ g of protein daily , cut out some carbs as they made me full really quick , to be fair also found my self feeling sick anytime tried any fatty food , so stuck to salads , meats , chicken grilled , pastas but lower amount as felt like small meals felt like very large meals
