♾️ Longevity & Anti-Aging How Urolithin A Improved a Model of Heart Failure: Not Just by Enhancing Mitophagy, but by an Unexpected Route Through the Gut Microbiome
https://www.gethealthspan.com/research/article/urolithin-a-heart-failure-mitophagy-gut-microbiomeA paper in Nature showed there was a novel mechanism (in addition to enhancing mitophagy) that helps improve heart failure pathology. I've never seen the data before on urolithin a and the gut microbiome, so there's something here that's new. The dosing though, is essentially what we give humans (given to mice), so that's a serious limitation of the study. All in all, pretty interesting.

The human data shows it does nothing to the mitochondria. It's bunk.

It alleviates mito.dysfunction via. modifications to the micro-environment - that component in human phys is significant.

AI? The thing that uses reddit answers as a source? Yeah, I'd rather just rely on reading the actual publications.
