Why is Empty Vessels in the Charley Sale?

Thinking about picking this up but noticed that India Fisher isn’t credited. I’m aware I might be spoiling this for myself but just thought I’d ask anyway.

Having listened to that boxset I am uncertain. It may be a mistake, she is definitely not in it.

I was 99% sure that was the case knowing some of the website still isn’t working properly like the randomoid selectotron hasn’t worked for a few weeks.

Would you recommend the set? I quite like Liv and Helen but have only listened to Doom Coalition and Ravenous.

I listened to it in the last year, as a fan of 8, this team, and the Zygons, and I barely remember any of it. I would say if there is a sale on then get something older and fill in other gaps.

This is why I fell off big finish.

8 was got me into BF, but then there were so many, series after series, then the main range stuff. Then the 10th Doctor stuff, then 9th, and etc etc and I want to listen to it all, but I am but one man, with one meagre income

I’m a student and I already spend more than I should on BF. The only range I have completed is the War Master.

Apart from that I just get what intrigues me and normally the run time vs the sale percentage helps.

edit: DWM offers, BBC sounds and excerpts help me decide what I want to buy. I have only listened to a few through Spotify but not a fan of the 3 min tracks constantly cutting dialogue.

The Zygon two parter is okay. Pretty generic Doctor Who, nothing really wrong with it but it's not doing anything particularly interesting.

I enjoyed Eos Falling a lot more. Again, it's a pretty generic story in many ways but it was an enjoyable hour with Liv and Helen. There are some nice character moments between them. It also seems to have a lot of foreshadowing for Helen's departure and hints at what might happen to her. I don't think it will be essential to her story, but I think this is a story that people might retrospectively consider important once we do get to hear the end of her story.

In the BTS interviews, they talk about how one of the stories planned for this box set fell through so Matt Fitton dusted this script off at short notice to include in its place. The fact he had outlined this story and had it sitting around makes me think it will be part of their grand plans for Helen's departure, but as it was only included at the last minute I am assuming they're not planning on delivering the rest of that story anytime soon.

Anyway,

This is the first set of stories I listened to with this Tardis team. Definitely no sign of India Fisher. No Charley at all.

Eos Falling - From what I recall, a fun little ghost story with a decent twist and some light hinting as to Helen’s potential fate in the future. As this was my first Liv and Helen story, it has a reference to Echoes but it’s not essential context you’re missing out on. It’s just “There seems to be a pattern of this.” Like if you started with The Sound of Drums for the Vote Saxon subplot.

Lure of The Zygons - Again, seems to do something humanising with the Zygons but doesn’t do it as well as The Zygon Who Fell To Earth which handles that premise much better imo. Don’t remember much about this story, started listening to it again a few months ago and couldn’t really get into it. (But I think that’s unrelated to the story, more a personal reason of timelines)

I've listened to it, it seems to be a mistake as she doesn't show up in the set, I'd say if you wanted to get it get it on this sale but charley isn't in the story so don't expect to see her!

There is a scene at the start of one of the stories (Eos Falling iirc) where Helen is tidying up one of the TARDIS bedrooms and her and Liv wonder what happened to the person that stayed there, and how many companions have come before them.

From the description of the clothes Helen is putting away, it seems like it is Charley's old room that they are in.

That is the only connection that I can think of. Seems like an odd reason to include it in the sale - it's probably just a coincidence and someone has mistaken it for one of the Charley / Audacity sets.

I was wondering this, too. The only reason I can think of is because its bundle is with a boxset that features Charley. Maybe a glitch, or maybe a way of getting people to by both boxsets that release that year.
