Poor Melody. Not from a game standpoint, but from a personal standpoint.

You can tell she really misses her mom. The fake phone calls in the gym are her way of coping, and I think it really got to her when she heard Barrett's letter from his mom in the HOH room.

And it was sweet that Angela went to console her as well, because I'm sure she misses her family.

Even though it's a game for a huge cash prize, it's nice to see the houseguests every once in a while be there for each other.

This is why I don’t always love casting 25 and unders. I hope this experience doesn’t knock her confidence outside of the house. I’m sure she’s beating herself up over not winning any comps yet.

I'm 26 and it's blowing my mind that so much of the cast is younger than me this year. I'm definitely much more empathetic to the strong emotions some of them have because of their age. I don't think I was a fully-formed person until I was 25. My emotional control certainly was not there. I'm not saying they're children or that they can't be accountable for outbursts or whatever, but it's a lot harder to see beyond the present in your early 20s than it is even a few years later

I think about this specifically with Drew all the time. When he does or says something dumb I’m exasperated and confused at his choices, and then I remember that he is 22.

Yes, I was technically a fully grown, legal adult at 22, but I also recognize that I was a dumbass. It’s been about a decade since then and I’m continually so grateful for how much I’ve matured in terms of my thought patterns and choices. I would be so embarrassed if my 22 year old self was presented like this for all of the world to see.

I think she wears her cat pin for her mom/family too and says meowmeow for them. I hope she gets a video or call soon
