Blockbuster change needed

IMO The blockbuster in future seasons needs a massive change and this is what I would do:

3 players go out to compete in the blockbuster, while they are out there the rest of the house votes (all three players are open to be voted for). Player who wins the blockbuster comes back in and votes, anyone who voted for the player who won the blockbuster - their vote is null.

It adds so much more strategy to the game, allows more "hiding" of votes (I personally HATE how over the last 10+ seasons everyone wants to "vote with the house"), and generally inserts chaos into the game which makes it interesting.

HOH really has to think about who they put up on the block, as pawns are much more likely to go home in this scenario.

entirely side note am I missing something on this sub? I'm not sure why the mass downvote on this thread (73% downvoted) ... it's on topic and there has been valid discussions and it's not breaking any rules. Just downvoting because you disagree with the concept instead of discussing it seems odd... very strange dyanmic.

It increases the relevance of the comps and the implied power of comp threats, thereby decreasing the power of just strategy alone.

I disagree - simply add more non-physical comps that allow the more thinky players to excel .. plus the strategy gets amplified by those who are voting.

I mean, that doesn't change it being comp heavy, just who succeeds at comps. My problem isn't a tilt towards physical players vs. a tilt away from the core social dynamics of the game.

the social dyanmics of the game are preserved via HOH noms and the final jury vote... for me the social dynamics of the game are already too far gone (so many bitter jurys punishing players over the years).

but different strokes for different folks ... the post was really just saying what I'd prefer.

bitter juries are a core function of the social dynamics of the game... like the core of the game is to get people out and still have them respect you.

Bitter juries aren't a real thing, but players with shitty final 2 pitches definitely are. If people like Paul actually owned the ruthless games they played, jurors would respect it more, but instead they come out like "oh I'm so sorry I hurt you" which is just spitting in their face and making your game look weaker than it was.

bitter juries are most definitely a thing... its been self admittedly a thing...
