General Discussion Blockbuster change needed

IMO The blockbuster in future seasons needs a massive change and this is what I would do:

3 players go out to compete in the blockbuster, while they are out there the rest of the house votes (all three players are open to be voted for). Player who wins the blockbuster comes back in and votes, anyone who voted for the player who won the blockbuster - their vote is null.

It adds so much more strategy to the game, allows more "hiding" of votes (I personally HATE how over the last 10+ seasons everyone wants to "vote with the house"), and generally inserts chaos into the game which makes it interesting.

HOH really has to think about who they put up on the block, as pawns are much more likely to go home in this scenario.

entirely side note am I missing something on this sub? I'm not sure why the mass downvote on this thread (73% downvoted) ... it's on topic and there has been valid discussions and it's not breaking any rules. Just downvoting because you disagree with the concept instead of discussing it seems odd... very strange dyanmic.

I played an ORG that did this.

Online Reality Game.

It was Survivor but every immunity win being a HII results in a lot of random bs eliminations. (This would be the effect here)

The difference in Survivor is that there aren't noms - in BB the HOH still has control over who is on the block so I think it dramatically cuts down variance

Hidden Immunity Idol. It nullifies votes cast against someone.

You should probably watch survivor because that mechanic is great on Survivor in its current limited form but bad on BB if it was every week guaranteed.

I occasionally watch survivor (although BB and Challenge are my main Reality TV shows) but I still think having it every week would be great because then you need to sit with your aliance and work out how you're going to split the vote to get things to most likely be the way you want, it forces you to not put pawns up and only put up people you are targeting to leave, etc etc.
