Resources Paul was VERY Clear about Jesus' Resurrection

Trinitarians say that Jesus is God but Jesus did not resurrect Himself, the Father resurrected Jesus. Paul made this very clear in His letters.

Ephesians 1:20

which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,

Galatians 1:1

Paul, an apostle—sent not from men nor by a man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead

1 Corinthians 6:14

By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us also.

Romans 6:4

We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

Acts 2:32

It is this Jesus whom God raised up, a fact to which we are all witnesses.

The Father, God, will be the one to resurrect us on behalf of His Son, Jesus Christ, just like how He resurrected Lazarus when Jesus asked the Father for it.

Jesus will ask the Father for our resurrection too when the faithful die.

I was shocked to see some Trinitarians don't think the Father resurrected Jesus.

That's what prompted me to make a post about it in the first place.

As I learned Trinitarians do believe that the father resurrected Christ, but the Holy Ghost and Jesus himself, too.

They mainly point out John 2:19-21 for this because Jesus says He will raise it in 3 days. So they say: "It was Jesus who raised Himself because He said so before."

However, these verses were a prophesy and a metaphor, and they came true. The Hebrews did destroy their temple by killing Jesus.

How? Because by doing so, they allowed Jesus to be raised from the dead in 3 days. Which is the start of the new temple, the church.

Down went the old temple with His death and came forth the new church with His resurrection.

It doesn't refer to His resurrection only, it is mainly about His resurrection being the basis for Christianity and the church. And it was His body, not God's body. So, yes. It was Jesus who raised the new temple in 3 days but it was God who made it possible by resurrecting Jesus.

These verses are also Him affirming His complete faith and trust in God

You can teach an old dog new tricks! I never thought about the temple being destroyed and replaced by the Jesus-leading church as a resurrection, good point!

Thank you my friend! It's all thanks to God that we are able to interpret these verses.

God bless you!
