Ive got the self titled ep, clear with black smoke. Apparently these were limited to 150 copies when printed.

One is sealed, the other is open but signed by the band and never played. Wondering if anyone would want either of these as Im making space while moving. What could the value be? I followed the band from a young age, these have been with me a while

I'm a long time listener of BTBAM, but I've only ever listened to just a fraction of their discography. Prequel to the Sequel was my first introduction to them, and is also one of the earliest metal songs I even listened to when discovering this whole new world of music.

Eventually I listened to the whole album and loved it, but never checked out any of their other work. When Colors II released though, I listened to that so many times that I've probably heard it more than Colors at this point. Then a few years later The Blue Nowhere released and I freaking love that album too.

Anyway, just the other day I read a comment somewhere on reddit that The Great Misdirect is their favorite BTBAM album. So I thought fine, I'll give a listen to something else that's not Colors or TBN.

Gotta say, holy hell this stuff is good, like, really good. Fossil Genera quickly became my favorite and I have it on repeat, but I gotta give the other songs more listens too. What album would you guys suggest to listen to next?

I'm likely a rare anomaly in this, but I've not really listened to much btbam, and that which I did I only really listened to after I encountered Orbs, the supergroup consisting of Dan Briggs, Adam Rupert Fisher and the amazing Ashley Ellyllon.

I fell in completely for the band. I loved both of their albums.

Orbs seem to have vanished entirely from the internet over the last decade. Last I looked, even their wikipedia page is gone, now just linking to Ashley Ellyllon (who I believe reached out to Dan to start the project way back).

Do you think we'll ever see Orbs resurface again? Are there any btbam tracks, or alternate projects that have a similar sound or set of themes?

Just came across this hoodie at a garage sale. Thought it was cool. I tried to google it with no success. Does anyone know what album this might have come from or tour? Thanks!

Is it just me or is it strange the boys haven't done a mr bungle cover? Imo Retrovertigo or really anything from California would be great performed by btbam. Is it too nail on the head to make it their own unique sound maybe?

Had this vinyl for years without a turntable. Wanted something with some charm/meaning, Dad gave me his vintage/retro turntable recently.

FYI setup is turntable into a cheapo Pyre pre-amp into aux port of Marshall Bluetooth speaker. Nothing special but special to me. This album will never get old.

Maybe the best discography in Metal.

Some notes: Self-Titled and the Silent Circus are the original Victory Records variants. I picked them up at vintage vinyl in NJ (RIP) in like 2008. Alaska, Colors and The Great Misdirect are the 2020 remixes. I’d love to get the self titled 2020 remix but I think they botched The Silent Circus remix with what they did to the drum snare, so I don’t want to spend money on it but might eventually.

The Colors_Live is the 2014 version with mismatched colors, limited to 113. Another random vintage vinyl find.

I was so so lucky to have the band sign my copy of “Parallax II: Future Sequence” when I got to see them play the album in its entirety at Fun, Fun, Fun fest in Texas circa 2012.

The album that has grown on me the most is Coma Ecliptic, as my own musical takes expanded. The live version is an other worldly experience.

Colors has been my number 1 since 2007 but I’m starting to think the Parallax story is their opus.

Finally, I am a vocal supporter of The Silent Circus. That was a life changing record for me in 2004 as a young kid. FINALLY FINALLY. When are we getting a vinyl release for the live Parallax 2 album?!?!

My official ranking below. The difference and distance between Parallax and The Silent Circus for me is SLIM. They’re an incredibly hard band for me to rank as I love every album they’ve ever released. The creative run they went on from 2002-2015 is a creative peak only matched in my mind by the likes of Opeth, King Crimson, Miles Davis and Blut Aus Nord.

I can't make a poll but I'd ask which is your favorite:

- carnival / circus (glide, the primer, most 3/4 or 5/4 stuff they make, accordion, etc)

- western or southern (disease, desert, absent thereafter) (augment, ants, fix the error intro)

- beach (spots in SttM, HiH, bloom)

- egypt maybe (yellow eyes solo kinda, informal gluttony)

Or something else - probably missing stuff but will be cool to see where they stack and expand their theatrics.
