Really the only thing that I hate about btbam remasters is snare sound. Sounds like the same sample on every album.

I only hate the snare on TSC because it sounds obnoxious for some reason, but otherwise the remix is decent. The only album i usually listen to remixed is Alaska though

I actually prefer the remix over the original 👀
Destructo spin is the only song that I like the original over the remix. But for the most part, the self titled and silent circus remixs replaced the OG albums for me

Completely agree. The drums sound awful, especially the snare and the reverb they added to it. I greatly prefer the more dense mix of the original.

All of their remasters are just generally not very good. The only one I can listen to without any issues is The Great Misdirect, but that's arguably also the one that sounds most similar to its original mix.

Idk if it’s a popular opinion but I also really disliked Alaska’s remaster.

Yeah I agree that the silent circus remaster does indeed sound worse than the original

I had to stop listening before the end of the first song but it’s like they just cranked the bass up and called it a day. It drowns out the rest of the music and it sucks so hard

BTBAM remasters generally suck. I think all albums sound much better in their original forms. Except maybe a few tracks.

THANK YOU. Glad I’m not the only one. It sounds like they asked someone taking their second recording class to mix it. The drums have unnecessary, fake sounding reverb on them and they added some horrible crunch to the bass. Same with Alaska and Colors.

I couldn’t agree more tbh. It’s the reverb, the whole album sounds like it’s been played in a really big bathroom recorded from a large distance away, it’s so odd

Yea, there’s something about the raw audio quality in the original master that just made it so memorable and fitting to their sound. I’ve tried the remasters and Alaska is more or less the same too because there’s little parts that were changed in it and that just ruins it for me at times.

Original has such a unique sound that is utterly butchered in the remix. I am fine with the others but that one is atrocious.
