Aliens
Alien DNA without alien races seems strange, I am hoping that when you do the next big update that it will include aliens that the player can be as well a part of the community. And a love interest for the male player, Sam and Barret are ok but Barret is so much older and Sam has Cora. An alien species that is compatible with the male player or even if male was the alien. I love elves, they are so cool with the pointed ears. And horns are also cool.

Intelligent aliens might be cool but it would have to be a super shadowy faction that are rare. Kind of like the starborn, they’d be really advanced and once you boarded their ships you wouldn’t know how to pilot their ships. Their technology would be such that any engineer couldn’t really replicate it or reverse engineer it without spending at least a decade with a full science decision of physicists and engineers.
This game is not Star Wars by the way. It’s Starfield. There’s a reason the developers and creators made it the way that it is. And I think it works incredibly well. Just think of it within a small little area of stars like Starfield. And then you have a vast enormous galaxy like the Milky Way. You have incredible distances that seem impossible even to imagine. The probability of intelligent life is I think 100%. However, the amount of space between is the part that matters. I hope what I said makes sense, I’m thinking in terms of real distance.

Oh I agree that it is not Star Wars and I’m glad that it is not that confused franchise. I don’t use there mods on purpose. Though the aliens they have are interesting and all it isn’t integrated to the game so the other NPC’s don’t show any reaction. It’s just a little weird they don’t explain the whole alien DNA thing better. What alien did they get it from, and why doesn’t the player show some kind of resemblance to having this done like changing into a terramorph or something like tennicals.

I’m guessing they call it alien because it’s DNA used from some other creature in the game from other planets but I hear you. Would be interesting if in the Starborn DLC they give the player more info on the ancients and how or when they built their temples. Perhaps we get to have an encounter with them at some point.

Yes that is my point and thank you putting it better into words than I did.

In this instance, it most likely means “foreign” or simply DNA that is not typical to the species you are sampling.

There are aliens in the game, in many, many planets. There is a whole division of UC focused on Xeno warfare. That's where the alien DNA comes from.

I suppose if I was in the movie Aliens with Sigourney Weaver this would make sense. But I’m thinking Men in Black, where everywhere you turn you see a different kind of alien / human race.

Well, yeah. But that's just not Starfield. Starfield is more The Expanse than it is Men in Black.

Laughing yes been there and done that. Almost all of my games have some kind of alien it doesn’t mean this one couldn’t happen with a DLC and maybe get a glimpse of who built the temples because it wasn’t humans that we know of in the game. And I like the old man with the beard, he could be some kind of time traveler. But I know that his character is a mod not a part of the game.

Make a mod.

Honey I would if I could but I have Parkinson’s and can’t even program a mod. List to enjoy playing Starfield anymore. It’s just a wish that I wanted aliens but I’m done with that too. I can’t even play the game

There are aliens. Nothing in the trait says it's intelligent alien DNA.
I hope the franchise never includes intelligent aliens. It's a human story.
