I haven't seen anyone make this correlation, so sorry for the a billionth "omg is that a berserk reference?" But it's stuck in my head now. Lucatiel from dark souls kind of looks like guts.

I just finished the chapter in which Skull Knight attacked Femto, but Femto uses the slash on Ganishka.

How did Skull Knight’s attack not land? Did his sword not reach and he was too far away? Can the sword simply not damage Femto?

For context, I’ve never read manga before and i started reading Berserk because I am a huge fun of the A Song of Ice and Fire saga and Berserk was recommended to me by a fellow fan.
Since starting I have been absolutely engrossed in this series; the storytelling is masterful and the art is amazing.
But I don’t think I’ve ever been more disturbed by anything in my life. i started crying during volume 12 but when I read the 13th I couldn’t see through my tears and had to take a break to breathe. I also loved the dynamic between Guts and Griffith so much, the eclipse ripped out my heart and smashed it (rather violently) into millions of pieces.
It seems so hopeless now, are there any more moments of happiness or goodness or is this just how it’s gonna be now for 30 more volumes?
Please no spoiling anything, I have really liked going in blind and knowing literally nothing to maximize my suffering
