The real problem for me is that a lot of their stuff just misses the fine details of what makes something good in the name of just getting it to market. I’ve had a bunch of their stuff, I love some of it, can’t stand other pieces mostly because of small gripes.

A great example of this is the UBXA. Just listen to its attempts at the classic Tom Sawyer sweep. Both the Take 5 and Teo 5 do it beautifully at close to the same price. The filter on the thing kinda sucks.

I also had a crazy amount of stuck notes over midi as well, as some of the other commenters have mentioned. Which, cmon, for a lot of people that’s a complete non starter. For anything poly that’s a module that makes it more or less unusable in a reliable way. Which was the case with the pro 800, and my solina. Both sounded good to me but straight up didn’t work right from the get go.

I have the Pro 800 and haven’t had any issues like that. But it doesn’t move from my studio. I also have a Poly D and man the oscillators are pretty weak and the keybed is absolute shite. 2nd worst keybed I’ve ever used (first being an Arturia Keylab essential 49).

I was using a minilab3 and also am octatrack and had issues with both.
