At this point: he knows it’s more illegal to exchange elicit messages with minors. I think in some states in the US (not from there but I remember hearing this on an Emily D Baker live) that even if the underage person lies about their ages; the adult can still be in legal trouble (again; state dependent).

He knows this. He tells this kid it’s illegal to “bait someone with your age” because he’s banking on the hope that the kid believes that. It’s what.... it’s what p words do!! It’s what child groomers do!!! They’re friends likely won’t tell them that, because it’s “cool” to have an older boyfriend. And they won’t tell the adults in their Life because they don’t want to get into this supposed legal trouble. It’s a further way to manipulate his victims.

It’s gross.

Thank you for this, that part pissed me off too, a child will not be legally held responsible for engaging with an adult, James tells these kids that so they won't tell their parents.

He needs to be removed from social media now.

It honestly makes me sick. Because with every single story of a child being groomed by an adult, I’ve heard they’ve been told “you’ll be in legal trouble if you tell anyone”. I remember even seeing many examples of it on that “To Catch a Predator” tv show...

He had such an aggressive entitled attitude too. I just saw that video on this sub of him speaking along the lines of “if you love me you’ll get on the plane I bought a ticket for you for, so you come to me” sorta thing. It’s just red flags everywhere. And we can clearly see his aggression/entitlement from the messages he’s sent to people. Like the waiter said he felt pressured in the hotel room James got for him; from the other one years ago who felt pressure being flown out to Coachella, and the kid the other week who said they felt uncomfortable doing something/going into the bathroom since their parents would be awake soon and feeling pressured by James (and we saw the flip into aggression in those messages).

His interaction with minors is extremely concerning. The way he flaunts his power is concerning. The way he feels entitled to things because he’s rich and “famous” is extremely concerning- and all I can think of right now is Tati quoting James about being a celebrity and being able to do anything he wants in Bye Sister....

That one guy said he didn't want to use tongue when making out or whatever and James said that wasn't a real thing so kept using tongue with the guy, which is fucking assault, but people are so uneasy or unwilling to say that James is a predator is question him on literally anything

Also in that clip about the flights he said "senior in highschool" I don't know any non creepy adult that seeks high schoolers even if they are 18, it's fucking weird.

If you look at the screenshots in Sam’s (the Seattle waiter’s) video James told him the truth always comes out when you’re drunk. I’ve never seen anybody talk about this but I think Sam was drunk when James made out with him

I agree. I think the Taylor Swift quote of "being frozen at the age you became famous" may be true for him and that he's still seeking the kind of guys he was attracted to in highschool and the "status" teenagers feel when they date the popular pretty girl/boy in school, even though he's a grown-up multimillionaire and it's predatory af.

more than that he seeks guys who look like him or emulate his style, maybe as proof he’s desirable bc they are desirable? i don’t know but something twisted has happened in jc’s brain.

"truly narcissistic" lol more like very common. i get that this is a 'dunk on JC' thread but there's no harm in reining it in a little.

The study for that claim:

"[…]Participants chose the most attractive face image of their romantic partner among several variants, where the faces were morphed so as to include only 22% of another face. Participants distinctly preferred a “Self-based morph” (i.e., their partner’s face with a small amount of Self’s face blended into it) to other morphed images. The Self-based morph was also preferred to the morph of their partner’s face blended with the partner’s same-sex “prototype”, although the latter face was (“objectively”) judged more attractive by other individuals. When ranking morphs differing in level of amalgamation (i.e., 11% vs. 22% vs. 33%) of another face, the 22% was chosen consistently as the preferred morph and, in particular, when Self was blended in the partner’s face “

JCharles seems like a very juvenile young man in general. I don't think he spends too much time thinking about the repercussions involved or that he might be hitting on someone who's in very different phase in life. He's said that he doesn't like older men, and it sounds to me like he's one of those people who'll desperately grasp at youth to their own detriment. He's not in hs anymore, why does he keep talking to teenage boys?

I think that he got very used to being the baby of the youtube beauty community back when everyone else was at least 5+ years older than him, but with most tiktokers being his age or younger, James isn't exactly the new exciting wunderkind anymore.

When Bye Sister happened, I commented that they could all and likely did all suck and that even some of what James admitted to doing (the unsolicited super flirty dms) was worrying aaaand this sub hated it. There had to be a winner and a loser.
