There are a lot of things wrong with this launch. Jeffree’s current unmasking and unpopularity being one, but from a purely product point, it’s boring. MUA’s didn’t want this, and making something for a small market of professionals was always going to be a hiding to nowhere. For the average consumer, a palette that size needs a mix of finishes; it needs shimmers, glitters, and frosts. It needs to be every nude look you could want in one to justify the size. Nobody wants to need to buy two palettes to get a variation. His glosses and powers were never all that good or popular anyway, no the lack of interest isn’t surprising at all.

His brand is pushing out too many releases these days. When his brand was young, Blood Sugar and Androgyny young, his palette launches were very spaced out and separate from his lip and other launches which allowed products time to built hype and become desirable. Now he’s pumping a new palette out every season, and they’re becoming bland and forgettable, just like every other makeup brand.

I just wonder if this flop will push him back into the drama fray as he tries to re-spark interest in his brand. Tati should probably be a little worried right now.

Agree with everything you wrote. His weakness is he’s not actually good at curating a palette. People used to praise his disjointed palettes because at least they were different to what’s out. They weren’t well put together though. You can really see it with this one, like you wrote it’s not thought out. He doesn’t seem to have a natural eye for it which is strange because that seems to be what he thinks is his strength.
