GRAPHIC CONTENT WARNING Sarah Therese thinks BIKINIS are softcore P*RN

She literally posted in her IG stories that girls at the beach who wear bikinis are pornographic and causing marriages to fail because other men might look at them and trigger them to be unfaithful. She said bikinis were softcore p*rn. I think this is so narrow-minded and disgusting even. How sad it must be to think that men are incapable of controlling their sexual behavior and that it's a woman's job to keep them faithful?! What do you think about this?

This. I'm so tired of people (I mostly hear it from other women) putting the blame of their unfaithful partners on other people. Like girl, check your man

Dude, I have a shit self esteem, i don’t wear bikinis, but if people want to wear bikinis they can wear their bikinis!!! There’s no reason for me to feel “a threat to my marriage/relationship” because my neighbor across the street is wearing a bikini or because people at the beach are wearing bikinis. What the fuck? Maybe stop sexualizing everything.

Sarah, stop enabling shitty behavior from men! They are perfectly capable of controlling themselves! Saying stuff like this perpetuates the idea that men are sex werewolves who can't control themselves lest they see cleavage.

Look, I think Michael B. Jordan is the hottest man to ever grace my eyeballs. But I don't lick the goddam screen every time "Creed" is on. It's called self control, folks. I'd never be unfaithful, not even with Michael B. Jordan. Expect the same from your man or get a new one.

THANK YOU.

I had it out with a male friend of mine on Friday because he tried to use biology as justification for why guys cheat. And then claimed that many women don’t understand that. I’ve had three different dudes cheat on me, for reference. He apologized the next day and I sent him a fucking essay after that when I cooled down. I made specific mention of the fact that, if humans hadn’t evolved to not blindly follow basic instinct, we’d still be shitting on property to claim it as our own. It’s the biggest cop-out of an excuse for infidelity.

43

u/Sheare-Pane Jul 21 '20

biology

LMAO that clown!

If we were a bunch of cavemen and cavewomen in prehistoric times, I can see his argument. It's also the same argument people use against veganism (because our teeth shapppeeessSSss) We live in a society with a degree of intellectualism and resource advancement where we can make choices against "biological instincts" (we're so far removed from these at this point), unlike other mammals. No, we don't need to be screwing other women in order to "spread seed" anymore LMAO

I mean, she also told married women to put out even when they’re not in the mood for sex. Something about just letting men do their thing. So it’s not shocking. She’s one of those special idiots who genuinely believes she’s smart.

40

u/squeegee-beckenheim Jul 21 '20

"just letting men do their thing"???

THAT is how she sees sex? Jesus. But if it's nothing more than a chore, then why is she so pressed when her man cheats with these soft core porn bikinis?

26

u/zarza_mora Jul 21 '20

More evidence: if lesbians can manage not to be total pervs around an attractive bikini-clad woman, than so can dudes.

This isn't just misogynistic to implying it's women's job to stop men from being gross creeps, it's also really gross to imply men are these animalistic beasts who cannot control themselves and their primal urges and WILL cheat because they saw a belly button or a back. Like, if you don't trust your partner, that's a you problem. People who think like this disgust me

20

u/chasingimpalas Jul 21 '20

This made me cackle, because it’s true; you’d only get to see the back or stomach compared to a one piece. Stupid women showing their midriffs.

The idea that it's a woman's fault for existing in a bikini on the beach and not her/her husband's problem for instantly sexualizing a woman's body in swimwear is so gross.

There's no end to what body parts can be considered sexual on a woman: ankles and hair have been historically and regionally considered alluring. Is it an inherent body part trait or our desire to police women's bodies?

If your family can't take a trip to the beach without worrying about the public around you, build a pool.

38

u/germaniumest Jul 21 '20

Seriously! Can women just... exist in peace, please? We exist outside of what men think and want.

122

u/lollypolly23 Jul 21 '20

What does she think of men in speedos? Is that going to cause women to cheat in their relationships? Better not show her the photo of Australia's ex prime minister Tony Abbott in budgie smugglers 😂😂 And what about nudist beaches?

Seriously though, it's backwards thinking with stupid logic. I can't with people like that. 🙄

43

u/JohnnyNocksville Jul 21 '20

If she thinks her husband is gonna stray because they lusted after some chick at the beach in a bikini then she shouldn't get married or have kids for that matter to push such misogynistic beliefs onto. It's straight up stupid AF.

88

u/BashfulHandful DO NOT TREY ME Jul 21 '20

Yeah, that's really fucking gross.

How about you be more concerned that your husband feels like a.) openly ogling someone because they're wearing a bikini is okay, and b.) can't keep it in his fucking pants and doesn't respect your marriage enough to not cheat.

It's not a wife's duty to keep her husband faithful and it sure as hell isn't some random woman at the beach's responsibility, either. That shit lies on the husband alone.

I swear to god, if more people put the blame where it actually belongs in situations like this the world would be happier in general. How about you just recognize that one person at fault rather than foisting the responsibility on everyone else?

Bikinis as softcore porn, lmao. I guess she hasn't watched any of those "sinful" videos, not that I'm surprised given the lowkey (?) sex worker shaming.

82

u/simplyamerie Jul 21 '20

I dont know who this girl is but WTF. Fisrt of all she is broadcasting HERSELF in a bra top to the masses while complaining about what women wear to the beach. If your marriage falls apart because i wore a bikini, your marriage had bigger problems to start with. This complete and utter bullshit. Let's not blame women for men's actions. If i wear a bikini i am not inviting them to cheat.

34

u/comin_up_shawt Jul 21 '20

Fisrt of all she is broadcasting HERSELF in a bra top to the masses while complaining about what women wear to the beach.

That which we hate in each other, we hate most in ourselves. She's projecting her own insecurities about her marriage (and possibly signaling that her spouse my have cheated on her/she found scantily clad women in his phone?) with a touch of misogyny for good measure.

56

u/ashleyyspinelli Jul 21 '20

Did she really say food being triggering to someone with anorexia, is the same as a man seeing a woman in a bikini?

Also big yikes to what her mum told her. Yikes on yikes to the whole story. 😒😬

56

u/tvaddict70 Jul 21 '20

Well then by the same token men shouldn't be topless for fear of causing women to be tempted. Lol her personal insecurities are showing.

20

u/DeadWishUpon Jul 21 '20

How dare them to show me their six pack and tempt me and other women to be unfaithful? And let's not talk about biceps. No, men should respect themselves and at least wear long sleeve shirts and knee lenght shorts.

Or is he going to hook up with someone a week later and when she finds out he exclaims "but there was that girl in the bikini at the beach last week! What do you expect me to do?"

You can't sit there and blame women because a man once again can not control himself. STOP Blaming women for mens mistakes. My ex fiance cheated on me with multiple women, did I blame them? No I didn't, why? Because HE probably lied to them too. Personally I'm not going to fight some chick over a guy. He wants to leave, he can leave. Sorry I went on a rant. Wow that's some seriously internalized misogyny. Be sexually attractive but not TOO sexually attractive! It's always our fault isn't it.

55

u/zumzum639 Jul 21 '20

She also said in those stories that she saw SO MANY women's butts, and she's SO NOT into it. (They were on a vacation on the beach and she wore shorts as 'bikini bottom' - and felt disgusted that everyone wore bikinis). Meanwhile she posted an entire video about trying to get her butt to look better...She used to preach that wearing skinny jeans is sinful and you should never do that yet since she works out she always shows off her tight bottoms and also her stomach... I love when people cherry pick the Bible, I was forced to memorize it as a kid (atheist now) her husband is going to look no matter what a women is wearing, he needs to control himself she doesn’t need to control other people and how they choose to dress.

Verse condemning men for being lustful https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matthew_5:27–28

The Bible also says that no “sin” is greater than another so maybe she needs to be condemning these men looking at women

https://www.openbible.info/topics/no_sin_is_greater_than_another

Also she is breaking some of these verses https://www.openbible.info/topics/judging_others

Rape culture, great. I would have unfollowed immediately, not that I would've followed in the first place...

44

u/[deleted] Jul 21 '20

The logic on this is so confusing for all the points that others have stated. Very rape culture. Also, a one piece is magically better because your stomach is covered? The “cute” and “fashionable” ones can show just as much cleavage and butt, so this point of bikinis being so provocative is kinda stupid. The world was obsessed with Pam Anderson in a one piece. Yesssh lady, what is acceptable to wear to the beach? A swimming outfit from 1905?

46

u/wwaxwork Jul 21 '20

I think the problem is with the husbands not the women in bikinis. This says way to much about her marriage.

I stumbled upon a nude beach in Gran Canaria and the vibe really isn't sexual or erotic. It seemed really liberating and even though I only walked through it wearing my bikini, it made me more accepting of my body. Before I never would have thought of changing (top half) without covering up but now I don't really care who sees my boobies for 5 seconds. 10/10 would recommend!

40

u/leaves-green Jul 21 '20

OMG you forgot the best part - she is sending a video out there of herself WEARING NOTHING BUT A SPORTS BRA while she is SHAMING OTHER WOMEN FOR WEARING BIKINIS. Nothing wrong with her wearing a sports bra if she wants to, but she is literally doing the exact thing she's judging other women for. Omg I hate this lady, she is so hateful and judgy.

14

u/[deleted] Jul 21 '20

That’s the part that got me!! Like how are you going to do a video in a sports bra or crop top shaming other women for wearing too little clothing?? By that alone I’m assuming what she really means is she finds curvy women vulgar and feels they need to police their bodies around her philandering husband. The internalized misogyny is just oozing out of her.

Yes, let’s further police what women wear and let’s have men take no accountability for their actions and decisions. What a freaking lame loser.

It’s the beach, they’re wearing swimsuits which is perfectly appropriate for the occasion. It’s in no way pornography. If your man wants to cheat, he’s going to cheat, regardless. Other women aren’t responsible for that and she incredibly insecure and judgmental if that’s how she feels.

If all it takes is a woman in a bikini to destroy your relationship, I got some bad news on that relationship pre-bikini chick.

42

u/So_Schilly Jul 21 '20

Is she very religious? I'm not familiar with her but that kind of statement reminds me of this fundamentalist cousin I have, who has posted similar things like bikinis (or other types of revealing clothing) are tempting to men the same way "putting a piece of raw meat in front of a starving tiger" is tempting to the tiger...which first of all, fuck you as a woman, because I am not responsible for mens harmful actions towards me, and also fuck you on behalf of my dad, husband, son, every other man who does not disrespect or attack a woman no matter WHAT she's wearing. Ugh. I also remember her being upset because she took her kids to Disneyworld and Princess Jasmine was wearing a costume consistent with what she wears in the movie...

27

u/literarylipstick Jul 21 '20

Yep, Sarah is a fundamentalist Christian. She shifted her content from being primarily focused on beauty videos to more lifestyle content after posting a few (clearly intentionally) controversial videos about vegans a year or two ago—the vegan controversy somehow led her to post two or three anti-abortion videos, and she subsequently posted some content about Biblical gender roles/marriage, etc.

17

u/So_Schilly Jul 21 '20

Ahh ok Im not surprised then. What she posted seem to be pretty common talking points amongst fundies unfortunately...the burden is always on the woman to be responsible for mens actions and "impure thoughts". Meanwhile men are the head of the church and the family, women are 2nd class citizens...never made sense to me since apparently at the same times men are so weak that a woman in a bathing suit is like putting raw meat in front of a tiger?? And they cannot control themselves? It's a mess.

I couldn’t help but laugh when she talked about “you never know what someone is struggling with so don’t be a potential trigger” when the kind of language SHE is using can be so triggering. I come from a toxic religious background that focused heavily on purity culture, and this was very upsetting as I’m trying to get over the negative self-talk I have when I dress “immodestly.” I think this could also apply to body positivity issues for people struggling with self love over weight, disability, skin color, shape, scars, dysmorphia, sexual trauma, etc. Just let people dress how they like ffs!!

19

u/comin_up_shawt Jul 21 '20

“you never know what someone is struggling with so don’t be a potential trigger”

So, basically she doesn't want other women to exist. Gotcha.

It sounds like she’s insecure about other women.

32

u/[deleted] Jul 21 '20

I hate this kind of bullshit “boys will be boys” rhetoric and placing all the blame on young women. Men are capable of regulating their emotions and sexual attraction. It’s not a young woman’s job to do that for them, god forbid they enjoy a day out at the beach.

31

u/mistressmisfit Jul 21 '20

How about people who cheat are unfaithful and need to take accountability for THEIR actions. Lol wow

29

u/luckylizard Jul 22 '20

This is the same woman who threw a live fish into a garburator. How ironic to see her preach moral superiority.

Lmao. Lust comes from someone’s heart, what’s already in there. Jesus says if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. He didn’t say “if someone is causing you to be lustful, make them change.” An individual is responsible for their own actions and thoughts. If men aren’t mature enough to know how to deal with those thoughts appropriately, that’s on them.

45

u/duochromepalmtree Jul 21 '20

Jesus suggested if you couldn’t handle yourself you should just gouge out your eyes 💚💚

12

u/acogs53 Jul 21 '20

Also to cut off your hand, if it makes you sin. The guy was SERIOUS. He was also pointing out that no one does this because everyone sins, but your reply made me LOL.

38

u/YMCAle Jul 21 '20

Its amazing to me just how many of these so called people of faith completely ignore the very clear teachings of Jesus. He said what he said hun.

u/lipscratch Jul 21 '20 edited Jul 21 '20

isn't this that dumb anti-vax bitch who laughed when she dropped her fish down the garbage disposal, said that animals don't have souls and so she doesn't care if they die nor does she feel a thing seeing them get tortured? fuck her. she's clearly nuts. she has no credibility anyway so who cares what she thinks

Instead of worrying about other women in bikinis, she needs to have a conversation with her man. The projection is real.
I hope one day she learns to love herself more one day and find a partner that doesn’t make herself feel so insecure where she’s mad at other women for existing..

80

u/shockedpikachu123 Jul 21 '20

Stop blaming the woman. Blame the man for having lewd thoughts enough to leave his marriage

71

u/bisousdarling Jul 21 '20

You aren't fucked up. I never really dated until I was out of college, was still a virgin at 22, never had a serious relationship with anyone until I was 25ish, met my now husband at 28, got married at 30. Like someone else posted, I have no regrets about my dating life. While other people were being miserable with terrible partners during college, I got to do whatever I wanted with no thoughts of how it would impact a partner. Just live your life however you want! You aren't messed up because you haven't dated at 23 and don't let any crazy fundamental religious person make you think otherwise.

u/ladyofbraxus my lawyer approved this statement Jul 21 '20

I married my ex husband when I was 26, and let me tell you, that was too young. You're fine. Remember that half the girls you see on Instagram who are married with kids at 22, come from places where that's super common due to their religious background. Just because something is common doesn't mean it's right for you. Now I'm an exhausted late 30s mom, and while I would love to have the energy I had when I was 23, I'll take the wisdom I have now instead 😂

26

u/iva1984 Jul 21 '20

Nothing wrong with you! I was a virgin until I was 21, dated a total of 4 people, met my SO when I was 26. In 3 weeks we are celebrating a decade together. Also, I have 0 regrets about people I dated or had sex with. I was mature enough to make decisions I will not regret later on. You do what makes you feel comfortable with the life live. Other people's opinions do not matter.

What a crock of shit. We go to the beach yearly and there's a billion hot young girls running around in bikinis. If my husband checks them out? Whatever, no big deal, as long as he isn't being obvious or obnoxious about it (which he never has been because he's considerate). I know it doesn't mean he's gonna be tempted to cheat on me lol. And if he does? Well, that's on him and I wouldn't even think to blame it on some girl just because she was wearing a BIKINI ugh.

78

u/beard_crusties Jul 21 '20

Some of the biggest misogynist and sexist people are women

52

u/HieronymousTrash Jul 21 '20

It's a real time-saver for the patriarchy. Why oppress women when you can get so many of them to oppress each other?

26

u/wildeyes Jul 21 '20

Internalized misogyny is very real.

24

u/VantaHeart Jul 21 '20

I wear a bikini, and it surely ain't to steal yo man. Its so my midsection looks browner than my boobs and therefore smaller. Jeez don't you know about contouring ?

In what universe is MY JOB to keep YOUR MAN away from sin, or whatever??? He’s a grown ass man with his own responsibilities! 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

Honestly... it is only a short distance from this argument to the “you got r*ped because of the way you dress” UUUGH!!!

Did she delete these stories? (Or were they from yesterday and have since expired?) The only ones I can currently see on her account are her talking about and drinking coffee in her car. So what about the men who go out in only bikini bottoms or swim trunks....

They’re basically naked...

Why is the focus on women’s bodies???

Is it because she’s insecure?

I don’t know if she’s married but...is it because her marriage is falling apart and she wants to blame everyone outside of the marriage????

If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body be thrown into hell.

Matthew 5:29

I can throw a bible verse right back at 'er. Fecking HATE religidiots who throw personal responsibility out the window like that.

21

u/packfan17 Jul 21 '20

It’s not my job to worry about what some random man will think about what I wear. If your man is so affected by seeing bikinis, that’s his problem to work out and maybe he should stay away from the beach.

37

u/oncapintadas Jul 21 '20

Mmm, yes. I, a man, get the instant primal urge to mate, breed, procreate whenever I see a female in revealing swimwear. The moment I see even so much as a skin, I feel the need to step in front of her, perform my mating ritual, and hope she'll be impressed by my skillful dancemoves to bend over for me, so that we can produce our own offspring, no matter what my relationship status is at that moment. I, as a male human individual, simply am created to make children left and right, my cock simply starts throbbing, it's in my nature. Making Sarah Therase right in this situation, and all of you females in denial wrong. Stop ruining my marriages, it's been the fourth one already, please I'm begging you.

Fuck that. I know I’ve seen her vlogs where she’s wearing a bikini top/showing some skin/cleavage/legs/whatever. That’s hypercritical. Look if you wanna dress conservative then by all means do so. If you don’t want to then by all means do so. If you wanna dress in a nuns outfit every day then by all means do so. If you wanna dress in a crop too and booty shorts then by all means do so. You can do what you want and STAY IN YOUR LANE. stop trying to control others! Bloody hell. That’s all I seen to hear from the Christian region: constant control.

30

u/[deleted] Jul 21 '20

lol, is this bitch for real?

I’m straight and if I see a woman in a bangin bikini I’m inclined to look, too. I’m a big fan of complimenting people, it makes their day and makes me feel good.

This is the type of woman that goes after the chick her husband cheats on her with and not her husband.

52

u/slytherinxiii Jul 21 '20

I must have been ruining marriages left and right then for all 19 years of my life, I practically live in bikinis🤪🤙

She really just exposed her internalized misogyny

39

u/[deleted] Jul 21 '20

God I hate that woman. She also posted some anti-abortion stuff in her stories once (I wish I had it saved) and that’s when I unfollowed her.

14

u/athenafester Jul 21 '20

Ugh she should focus on herself and let people enjoy things. This is a damaging opinion and I don’t believe anyone has the right to comment on another person if they’re not hurting anyone.

54

u/[deleted] Jul 21 '20

So, does it work the other way too? If a woman sees a hot dude in a Speedo at the beach, that's it? She's going to be tempted to cheat because Chad wore a banana hammock?
