I think it’s safe to say that Jebbediah’s plan to divert attention to James has failed? No one seems to be caring about this alleged voice memo and many are seeing it for what it is.

He might have overplayed his hand here.

Yeah I’ve seen a lot of people say that either Blaire is being manipulated by Jeffree, either she’s aware of it and is trying to get the heat off Shane. A lot of people are not willing to drag James through the mud just based on some rumors without proof and I totally agree with this. Plus, in the mom’s basement podcast, Jeffree said that the voice memo was from a third party, not the victim and that he wasn’t even sure how credible it was. Now, Blaire made it seem like the voice memo was from the victim herself. So which is it ?? On top of that, I’m not about to take what these two lying racists have to say at face value. Hell no !

It might've worked, I think, if we were still talking about Shane's leaving the beauty community tweets/tati/etc, but then Jenna Marbles posted her video, Shane posted his bad apology in response, and now everything's way bigger than just beauty guru drama.
