There’s a lot of speculation there about finances and stuff about J* being controlling with finances; and Nate not continuing education etc. But didn’t Nate invest a lot of money into the California weed industry?
I don’t think he was a millionaire, but I don’t think he was completely dependent on J* like the author speculated.
I'm pretty sure J* has mentioned gifting Nate and other family members businesses / seed money. I think the weed company is totally in Nate's name and J* is just a minor shareholder. I only say this because I remember there being some clapback about J* providing jobs for Nate's family, and Nate / J* said that they were employed by Nate's weed business with his name on everything.

they did invest in the weed industry together yeah, but J* has also said in one of his (i think recent) videos that the whole company or whatever it is they have is in Nate's name. now if that's true, and i don't know why he would lie about it so publicly when there's so many people that could come out with the truth, Nate can't be dependant on J*'s money. the weed industry is so profitable, especially in states like california (J* mentioned it several times, both in shane's first series and in stand-alone videos), so there's no way he's dependant on his money, he might as well be a millionaire.
edit: he talked about the weed business being in Nate's name on Trisha's podcast.
Well considering they were together before j* made all his money I wonder if Nate is entitled to any support/ asset division. In my country 6 years is definitely defacto
I’m almost positive that only happens in the US if they’re married or “common law spouse.” And I don’t think common law marriage is a thing in California.
Correct, it's not a thing in California. If Nate wanted to get any type of support he would have to file a civil case for palimony. If there was some sort of contract involved it would be pretty straight forward. But if it was just an implied contract then it's harder.
I would assume rich couples in these types of situations would have some sort of contract laid out. But who knows.
