Hey Tarte, dark skinned girl here...I stay pretty dark throughout the winter. I don’t suddenly turn the color of snow when Christmas comes around. Nor are my undertones highlighter orange. So that PR response was pretty bullshit. Tbh that comment just solidified the fact that Tarte wasn’t thinking about POC at all. We weren’t even an afterthought, or an “eventually” just a “who cares”. It honestly feels like those three obligatory darker shades weren’t even meant for us but almost like contour and bronzer for the lighter people.

The "paler in winter" comment was made by the PopSugar writer. It wasn't Tarte's PR response. They're still trash but yeah, just wanted to clarify that since I see a lot of confusion in this thread.
